yeah definitely works no problem but just not without the receiver plugged in to the usb c port

Weeeelll.. You are confusing "receiver" and "transmitter" - The microphone/s are the transmitter/s and the receiving unit is the receiver. Not the other way around as you keep saying in the video ;)
