    I am moving to Minnesota soon and am super excited that the mountain biking is really really good. Are there areas that really surprised you with how good the riding is?

      I love lebanon but MORC (same organization responsible for maintaining Lebanon Hills) have recently adopted and improved trails in Battle Creek park St. Paul. Some challenging climbs and gnarlier downhill segments I think you will enjoy with the added benefit of a flowy, feature-heavy trail system called Carver Lake park only like 8 miles away if you want to make a day of it. Cuyuna is the most scenic and massive thing we have going here and Duluth is home to the wildest riding from what I've gathered.

      Enceladus thanks for the info! I’m already drooling over Battle Creek rides and will definitely get up to Cuyuna and Duluth! Anything else you think us a must ride? Thanks for watching!

      Chad Frutig awesome! I’m glad this is helpful. I’ve been in Minnesota for just over a week now but haven’t done any filming it riding. It’s a really cool place to live, just not the mountains I’m used to. However, the trails and sheer amount of them is awesome! This place loves to mountain bike!

      It’s a pretty damn fun place to ride that’s for sure! I need to ride it again and see how it is on my own bike that I’m familiar riding. Bet the Walmart bike got rattled like mad on the xx loop

    This guy is heading to MSP this weekend and will certainly be riding here. Will most likely stay for two days, should I also hit battle creek or is there another system in the area you'd recommend? This will be my first trip to the area to ride. Thinking I'd like to check out Bertram as well at some point. Thanks for sharing, looks like good fun.

      Driftless Area Singletrack so I’m not much of a MSP connoisseur since I live in Rochester, but from what I have ridden Battle Creek is my favorite. Lebanon is also awesome but tends to be crazy busy so be prepared for that

    Glad this turned out as well as it did. I'm always nervous about showing people from mountain states our trails. They don't have the long rip roaring descents but they do have a lot of fun cool features.

    • @Tkolbo_
      @Tkolbo_  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I have an appreciation for all trails! I think the roller coaster terrain is so different that it presents its own unique challenges to my style of riding. I found myself unprepared for certain climbs and features because I was in descent mode. The ability to quickly change between a descend to climbing attitude is key and it was fun experiencing that! I am so impressed with the cycling community in the air and how much they care about they riding infrastructure. A+ day in my books!

      I rented it from Eriks Bike and Boards in Bloomington. Keep in mind that was in October 2018. Now with the pandemic and the short supply of bikes I wouldn’t be surprised if they are ceasing rentals for the time being and just selling them off to help get more butts on bikes
