Honest to bees, thank you for your post! After having several spots removed recently it has really become a very important part of my exposure here in Florida. Even though it is possible that most of my questionable spots may have been gotten when I was younger, but it is so important to make sure I cover myself every time I walk out the door. I have learned that many face creams and body cremes actually can react to the sun so the clothing choices I make are critical. Thank you so very much for this post as I don't mind investing in protective clothing but the ones I have purchased were from Australia and the quality was not very long lasting, but a great comparison of those available.

Great video I love coolibar. Their clothing has even received the seal of recommendation form the skin cancer foundation. So you know their clothing really does protect you from UV rays.

Thank you for reviewing Coolibar and being very honest. The blue swim shirt looks very pretty on you. This is super helpful. I ordered when they had their 20% sitewide. I ordered 4 morada shirts, 4 morada long sleeves, 1 beach hat, 1 womens cap that has a strange fit and doesnt stay on my head very well. Lol. I do love their shirts and the beach hat. I wanted to try their pants but hesitant because I am short (5', 2"). If you dont mind me asking, how tall are you?

For all of the complaints you logged against the quality of this company, have you found a reasonable alternative that provides you what you are looking for?

Unfortunately I haven't found a brand that specifically focuses on UPF clothing other than this one :(. I'm hoping more brands (lululemon, old navy, everlane, dick's, etc...) expand into this area. For now, I shop at Dick's Sporting Goods for long sleeve/quarter-zip tops that are not advertised as being UPF 50+, but I like the fits and it's better than being totally exposed.

@@tawnyalessandra Solumbra is an excellent UPF clothing company. You should give their products a try.
Although,, the reality is that any type of clothing, especially if they're dark colors and made out of materials like polyester, wool(which offer great protection from the sun) will protect you from the sun, even if they're not labeled as UPF.
So there's really no need to buy UPF clothing to be protected(UPF clothing can be quite pricey).
