I find the boarding axe to be a reliable zapper disposal tool (I only use the spiked side for zappers or just for a quick kill on a shambler), as well as just a good defensive option (the bladed side the majority of the time).

The Boarding Axe can prob clear out hordes as fast as a handaxe if you're getting headshots with the weapon. Besides yk you can land headshots with the side swing meaning multiple headshots. Overall, just because it has less damage does not mean it can keep up similar headshot rates with the hand axe. Also why is angling an issue? you literally just need to make small adjustments to you're camera and you can now land headshots. Also cuz you're a seaman, you'd probably want to use the boarding axe more often cuz assuming you get a good shot with you're primary all you really gotta deal with is the stragglers meaning no need to mass horde deletion unless if it's a major spawn area.
@@GermanSanitater To be honest, with the Carbine’s reload and shove and the ability to take out multiple zombies from left to right with the Hand Axe (while dealing similar damage and a smaller cooldown, it’s really good for endless maps. Plus, the grenades can be used if those aren’t enough.

There's really no reason to use boarding axe because flipping side is too situational and zombies swarm in group most of the times Spike side doesn't have drop off damage mechanic like lance and pickaxe meaning it hits only one zombie just like bayonet If you forget to flip side back to blade and sneaky runner interrupt you during fighting shambler you will most likely get tackled as it only have 1penetration Could be considered better if it had same swing speed as handaxe since blade side is more primary use than spike side

I used it for awhile but went back to Sabre as I can actually hit headshots reliably with that
