I really appreciate your humility. You see the wisdom in what your rabbi said, and you're willing to make the necessary adjustments. You're a diamond in the making. Don't forget that. Blessings.

Your videos are so inspirational. I'm in the middle of my conversion process to a reform congregation, it's totally unstructured (which I don't like, it would be nice to have a class), and really all I have to do is read a chapter of the Tanakh and meet with the Rabbi once a month. But I'm not actually learning anything from that. One problem is that I can't seem to retain information that I read since I got a bad concussion. So one thing that's helped that is having each chapter read to me on TH-cam. Same with the prayers, I can't retain them as fast as I could before so I have to listen to them on repeat. This video gave me the words that I didn't have (another concussion side effect, I can't find the words I need when I need them) to explain how I feel at my next meeting. Because I want to know EVERYTHING and everything I study, it'll answer one question and bring up a thousand more questions!!
I'm so proud of you and I'm proud of your sensible and positive attitude!

You clearly have a very holy Neshama. As a teacher in both Jewish & public school, I wish that my students could have a mentor with the heart, courage, & sincerity that you show. May HaShem bless your journey with success. Remember how many people you are giving strength to- likely more than you know. I’m among them.
    With Blessings,

This self introspection is good, and your honesty is refreshing. It even makes me ponder my own process. You will go far with this attitude. Wishing you b'hatzlacha raba on your giyur. Wishing you a good week as well. Take care.

It’s one of those things that you will understand the timeline of in hindsight. This is what I told someone once when they asked how far along I was and I think it’s a really good answer.

There is a tradition among the Pashtuns, that they're Jewish.

It's true, you can't rush it. I say this as someone who first did a Masorti conversion, studied with an Orthodox rabbi for 9 months, and has now been in the process with an Orthodox beit din for about 2 years. I used to think it should go quicker, but now I know you can't rush it.

ooohhhh I’m currently converting to modern Orthodox Judaism as well !!! Its been two years of individual study by myself and I’ve finally reached out to a rabbi who’s agreed to explore my conversion with me 🥳 I LOVE ur channel, thank you so much for your content, it makes me feel less alone. Is the packet your rabbi gave u online or something? I’ve been looking for quizzes/tests to see where I’m at with my knowledge 🥰

The challenge you’re up against-trying to understand how to live a truly observant Jewish life-is so difficult. It’s honestly the same challenge baal teshuvah face. I grew up Jewish, had a bat mitzvah, could read Hebrew, TAUGHT Hebrew school to bar and bar mitzvah students, and was a fairly knowledgeable Jew, but honestly being “fairly knowledgeable” as a secular Jew is nothing compared to how much I would have needed to learn in order to live an observant Jewish life. You have a beautiful attitude. Just remember that the knowledge one has to amass to be an observant Jew is HUGE. This isn’t about your aptitude at all, but I love that you’re making necessary adjustments 💗

I’m going through orthodox conversion through Chabad and it’s extremely difficult I’m (19) years old and the biggest game changer in my process has been moving into a Jewish community. They stressed this to me early on and now having doing this is truly has changed everything, I am in shul all day on Shabbat and the community is very welcoming. I immediately felt a sense of security knowing people around me were lighting Shabbat candles around the same time and walking to shul at the same time.
We should connect more :) it can be a lonely journey but knowing that you’re not the only one out there is a little more comforting

I understand this must be frustrating because there's bio jewish women who arent very observant but get access to all the jewish men and support. Whereas as a convert, not only do you have to wait to be a Jew, you have to wait to be a Mom/wife -- which as a woman, idk about you, but I'm on a clock! I don't have years. I'm 24 and 2 years personal study, plus 2 years conversion, to find a single Jewish man at 28? It's the path I guess, but I can't see why the others get access with so little practice and ease. They'll have different, possibly even harder paths.

If I understood correctly, you brought Kosher wine to Shabbat dinner and there was a problem? There is a wine (I think it says Meshuval on the bottle) that you can bring and drink. Also if you don’t touch the opened bottle, I believe that is fine. Ba’h dear Esther. Blessings.

You should get The Gerus Guide by Rabbi Aryeh Moshen if you haven't. Breaks down the giyur process step-by-step, and helps you tick off each milestone. It is also good at helping you test your knowledge, and see what you know and don't know.

Once again I can say I’m so proud of you I could see that you may need more time Converting to a Jew is a life time once you are Jew you are a Jew what I know I wasn’t the one to say it even though I’m not Jewish people used to say are you sure your father’s not Jewish because we did a lot of Jewish things and he had a lot of Jewish friends. so glad that you have decided to continue your studies
And remember to let it sink in your heart feel it there and don’t worry about what people say be a Jew first that’s between you and God and then everything else it’s just for the people to know let God Guide you please don’t forget to include God

Glad you realized that it’s not a race. Being Jewish is more than something you want. The Rabbi’s say you should be told no 3 times before being accepted as a convert. It will be over when it is. Enjoy and study with your heart as well as your head. You’ll get there eventually.

I feel like it's about 'being' jewish and not the 'conversion' or 'becoming' jewish... by which i mean b'ezrat HaShem when you or anyone is living as a jew then they are ready for the 'icing on the cake' ie the beit din and the ritual confirming the conversion.

Where is your spirit in all of this. It sound like your trying to download without internet. When your hart just does without you telling it to it comes natrally. Dressing modest comes with the love and respect for yourself and the respect for your husband and our beloved Hashem .learn for the pleasure to please Hashem. No time line just you and Hashem. Wheres your connection?

Wait from my understanding I thought you had already converted? Perhaps I'm wrong, also good for you want to start over again that is hard. However I want you to know, there is no such thing as a perfect Jew, and you observe how one observes, each Jewish person has their own way of doing so. You're allowed to sit together and drink wine, you brought kosher wine.
