    PLEASE READ THESE NOTES: ❗❗❗❗❗❗❗
    1. The English football started long time ago, late 1800s, but the PL brand and formation as we know it today, was done in 1992.
    2. Since 2000, Bayern has won 3 UCL Titles (2001, 2013 & 2020), BUT it's the only club from Germany to win a UCL title since 2000, that's why I said 1 champion from Bundesliga since 2000, in the "UCL champions since 2000" category. Same criteria apply to all other leagues in that particular comparison.
    3. The French Ligue 1 has 2+ M subs on TH-cam, I mistakably added only their English YT channel, my apologies. Total Follower count (Both YT channels + Other social media outlets) now is over 19M.
    4. In general style of play, what I put is in relation to what football personalities, managers and some players have said, and also how the leagues used to play and ofcourse some stereotypes to be honest. Football is evolving everyday, and managers are coming up with new strategies, so things may be a bit different today.
    THANK YOU!

Could it be because they have more foreign players and, because the pay them more, more of the best ones. Apart from the other big four winning more titles since 1992 (and even more if we count from 1968 since ENG solitary win in 1966), three small countries have won the Euro title;Denmark, Greece and Portugal since 1992 and A fourth Czechoslovakia won it in 1976.

I would like to mention going semis at the WC then final at the EC is our best performance since 1966, before all we had had since 66 was a semi in 1990 and another in 1996, and it's still better than annual World no1s Belgium has ever done.

@@pedrooliveira8937 You have the typical top 3. Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Teams that usually reach quarter finals or more in CL. The Premier League equivalent of these teams for the last decade has been Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea. Below that you have teams like Manchester United, Arsenal Tottenham. The La Liga equivalent here would be Sevilla(often won Europa cup), Villarreal(last Europa cup winners), and Valencia. Below that you have Real Sociedad, Athletic Bilbao, Getafe, teams that are similar to Westham, Crystal Palace, Brighton etc. Premier League is the most popular league with the most money as you say, but I disagree that it is de facto above La Liga in terms of quality. Heck, Westham might lose to Eintracht Frankfurt(9th in Bundesliga) in the Europa cup.

@@tangbein atletico never won a single CL, if you wanna go from these therms. Sevilla and villareal are winning Europa league only recently and almost always same coach, that guy is indeed a beast. In fact you have 2 portuguese teams that won Cl, same as spanish league, it doesnt mean the portuguese league is good. From another perspective, crystal palace and brighton came from 2nd division not so long ago, they are decent right now, but i dont want to compare to medium table spanish teams, cause quite honestly its not comparible. Like i said, just because you have 2 teams ( sevilla and villareal that are decently strong in recent years, doesnt make the league in a whole good overall, it will eventually run out trust me) and same for crystal palace and so on, the difference is, The english league teams tend to replace themselves in therms of this kind of power level. And te fact the you even wanna compare Manchester united to sevilla is just, sorry but you re literally delusional. Real Sociedad, Athletic Bilbao, Getafe and so on tbh are garbage teams that will most certainly lose to the 3rd portuguese rank team, so not even into debate i would say

    • @tangbein
      @tangbein 2 ปีที่แล้ว +35

@@pedrooliveira8937 Well Atletico Madrid sent Liverpool out of the CL in 2020, and were close to winning La Liga last season. And with that it is fair to say that the top 3 teams in La Liga can compete with the top 3 teams in Premier League. If you put Sevilla up against Manchester United now it would definitely be even. Perhaps not in the Alex Ferguson era, but right now it would be. And why shouldn't the mid table teams be relevant? Real Sociedad can give teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona a run for their money if they really play for what they have. Meaning they technically could do the same to Liverpool and City. Like I said in the first comment: It is Guardiola and Klopp that make the difference right now.

It is important to understand that Ligue 1 has been very handicapped for a long time by its taxation. This is very heavy in France because it finances our very advantageous social system. But that raises competitiveness issues.
For the same salary, a player costs much more to a French club than to a Spanish club, for example, because of employers' charges. A club like Reims pays more employer charges than the 20 La Liga clubs combined, to situate.
It is partly for this reason that we have had great difficulty existing since the Bosman affair, whereas before that Ligue 1 was a very good championship in the 90s. But since then many of our clubs have been forced to bet young players training (which helps our national team a lot).
Not to mention the organization that has long prevented our clubs from going into debt, under penalty of descent into Ligue 2: the DNCG.
I specify this because many people outside France like to make fun of our championship ("farmers league") without having knowledge of these specificities. This is not the only problem in Ligue 1, but in these conditions we can hardly hope for better than 5th place in the best leagues.
Sorry im not sure of my english. 😅

I think for the highest points in domestic league it would have been better to have points per game. Since the Bundesliga has only 18 teams and therefore less total points that a team can aquire in total. With that in mind, the 91 points are actually closer to the 100 point mark if it was per game basis.

@@rachetmarvel931 Couts was not good, yes, he still scored twice against Barca - more impact on loan than wasting Barcelona's wage bill.
Who said I'm underplaying anything? Messi is the best professional football player the world has seen - you misinterpret what I even meant by system player. Coutinho and Messi are players that do not have the workrate to win the ball back and support their team in those ways. They do not perform to their ability when the team isn't based around them. It's quite clear their drop off when they moved.
Never discredited Ronaldo, I DID say he's on a broken, failing UTD, I never said he can't be top 3 goalscorer which he has done. The truth behind those words is that even though it is not directly Ronaldo's fault, UTD did not need to sign another forward. They needed a CDM.
I also never even mentioned Hazard? obviously he's a failure that didn't adapt, he's lazy, and became even lazier and useless after moving from Chelsea - with the attitude he had he would've flopped anywhere. But, Coutinho wasn't even the best player on the side that he left.
At NO point did I even mention what I think the best league is, that was never my main argument when replying to the guy above, so what the fuck are you on about?

I prefer EPL of course but I'm surprised the relatively low following of French League, considering they have almost same population of UK. That means the EPL have a wider worldwide appeal

That’s simple, our league isn’t the best in europe, so it isn’t as followed as PL. Tbh I’m not surprised by the stats.

You should do this with 2nd tier leagues. Although it wouldn't be much of a contest for which is the best.
