    I have to commend you, Ryan. These videos are so top shelf. Not just the production values, which are awesome, but the content of the videos, and the level of your builds, there’s just so much to learn from watching them. Everyone of us has a different level of experience in the hobby, you just have a knack of putting into words how it all works. Very cool. Subbed.

    I have only ever raced AE stuff, and recently started running a B64 converted into a 4wd truck...my son raced it this last Saturday for the first time and is saving for an ET410.2.... I really wish AE and TLR would make truck versions of their newest buggies , the class would really take off if they did. This 22x-4 is really making me want to give TLR a try... between your video, and seeing a few run at recent races here in the NW, I really think it is a great buggy... TLR guys waited a long time for this one, now we shall see what the other brands do to to keep pace.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting my 22X-4 as much as I am of getting my Elite on the track for the first time. Awesome looking car, I've not run a modern Losi and this is very tempting. Last Losi I ran and still own is a Losi XX-CR Kinwald. Racing in the UK and sadly TLR have all but disappeared from the race tracks. All Schumacher, Yokomo and AE. UK would be Astro

    Aloha Ryan, I really enjoyed this production. Nice job, and I’ll keep me eye out for more tuning tips that you’ve come up with. FWIW I built my production version of the 22X-4 a week or two ago and was shocked by how well made the whole car is. It is costly but I feel that the value is there. There are a few typos in the instructions but I can’t fault the vehicle for that. I’ve yet to maiden it as I received some bad Gens Ace packs and am returning those while also building a Tekno EB410.2, an Associated b74.1D, and a Schumacher L1 EVO and would like to get them all out on the bash at the same time to see which characteristics of each car I like over the others. I have driven the Tekno at the time of this comment since I had a Tekin pack in my inventory when it was completed and it was really very impressive out of the box, and the Losi came out a full 37G lighter OOTB with identical electronics, and that’s considering that the Tekno wiring is freakishly optimized (short) compared to the Losi.
    Anyhow, great work on your video and wish I could spend some time hanging around with you folks at those outdoor tracks-I’m using Holeshots and also grabbed some positrons, electrons, and Blockades to experiment with oh, and one set of honeycombs to start out with on the L1 Evo. We don’t have too many folks in the hobby out here (Big Island) but I’ll be making a track in red volcanic clay soil this year, and perhaps can attract some fellow enthusiasts. Keep at it, and if you make your way out for a trip ping me for some quality bashing. I’m easy enough to find online. Cheers!

    Hi Ryan! Great video again! Bravo for the clarity you use to explain your views or your advice. I started racing in RC again this year. After 15 years of absence I wanted to buy a new 4wd Buggy. Since the start of this winter, I've been riding an RC10 B6D and a TLR SCTE 2.0 4wd! I watched your video on Team associated B74. I like the simplicity of Team associated and the ease found parts on our tracks in Quebec. But the TLR 22-X4 is also interesting. I’m an ancient Losi sold since 1997, I’ve been riding Losi XX and XXT, XXX and XXXT! But before I stopped, I had changed my cars to Team Associated, because it was less fragile, broke less and was easier to work and the parts were easier to find on the tracks in Quebec. Anyway, right now I'm hesitating between the B74 and the 22-X4. I would like to make the right choice, because at $ 700 (Canadian dollar) and more for a roller model, I don't want to be wrong! Without putting your head on the chopping block, you competed with the 2 models, which one did you prefer to start racing again? Can you guide me? And sorry for my english writting! I'm little bit rust! ahahahah

    • @RyanHarrisRC
      @RyanHarrisRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad you're still racing! The B74 has a very nice quality and seems like a decent car. The biggest downsides I found with the car were stiffness and excesive weight. My B74 with Ti screws, plastic diff gears, ti turnbuckles came in around 1720g. My 22x-4 comes in at 1635g with titanium option parts and my selected electronic package. Fit and finish is excellent on the TLR as well. On track performance I honestly favor the TLR. The cars reacts quicker and carries much more corner speed. Hope this helps ya!

    • @marcst-onge
      @marcst-onge 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RyanHarrisRC Cool! Happy with your quick and clear comment! I will take into consideration what you told me in my choice of 4WD Buggy! I know that here at my local track, most of the guys are riding Associated B74. I like to be different from the others! I leave myself until the beginning of spring to think about the model that I am going to buy. I will listen to your videos again carefully! Thank you again and continue your good work to inform and entertain us!

    Also.. Since we are all "grounded" How about a video sharing setup and tuning knowledge? Camber links, suspension, caster, kick up etc. Im no chassis tuner, I just kind of fight through a "close" setup. Why don't you update your settings on it? It will be great 👏

    I'd love the X-4 but the investment is daunting. I'm thinking to get the 22T but is the 5.0 on the horizon??? I got a B64D right before the 74 was announced so Not keen on repeating history here.

    Hey I asked this in your live and you didn't see it so I'll ask here. So how did you get your turnbuckles on your AE cars to be gold? Did you buy them or make them. And if you did buy them could you possibly give the link.

    Hi Ryan. 23 year out the sport here in the UK. I was wondering if you could explain something to me. How do you control the pitch of the car in the air without reverse? Full throttle nose up, but without reverse switched on how is the nose dipped? As I said 23 years ago I was a young teenager and I wasn't good. Now 38 I doubt the break has made me pro ha ha. And when are you racing in the UK?
