In full honesty, I do wait for your reviews before buying products because I 100% trust your opinion. I've watched all your makeup reviews for a few years now and I've concluded that you are amongst the Top 5 most trusted here on TH-cam in my opinion. I do believe certain reviewers may hold back in their honesty and I'm not sure why they do that, even if it's sent free for review, I want to know more than just if something is pigmented, how does it wear? What's the formula? etc. You addressed EVERY point I needed to know regarding these lipstains and I'm sooooo happy I waited for your review because girl...you saved me a LOT of money! Even at $6 a piece, not worth it. I'm similar in that I rather save up for a good quality lip stain by Stila, Kat Von D etc than buy a bunch that are sub par quality. Zenorah same here....i won't buy anything either until i see her reviews and swatches..some of the big youtubers just say whatever cause they get paid& get free products and then there is others like TotalMakeupJunkie101 who is honest &we give u honest reviews.i don't make videos or nothing cause i am saving for my camera,but when i get one i am inspired to make videos like her cause it is all about being truthful&giving your subscribers what they need to hear ¬ feed them what they want to.Jacklyn hill is another i trust too :)

I don't know how I missed this review when it came out. My Colour Pop brand review is coming out tomorrow with reviews of Ouiji, Solow, Tulle, and Bumble. I feel like I got SO lucky with the ones that I picked! I didn't have the same problems with Ouiji that you did, but I'm sure glad I didn't get more on your "yuck" list. Problem is, I feel like now it isn't a complete review! I'll have to link this video for people so that they can see all of the other colors and hear your opinions. I watched soooo many review and swatch videos of these lippies before they launched and gave into the hype & bought a few for myself and friends and regret it now. I wish I had seen your review before, thank you for always being honest and giving your viewers your genuine unbiased opinion, we,your subscribers,appreciate it and I wish other yt beauty gurus would follow suit.
Now that you mentioned it I realize that I've only seen color swatches videos on this product and no one gave their honest opinion on it, which is why I love your channel. They only talked about the colors, like "this one is pretty, this one's nice..." I can't order anything from Color Pop because I live in Switzerland, but if I could and didn't watch your video before hand I would've totally buy like 10 shades of these because they do look pretty and are quite inexpensive. Always appreciate your super informative reviews and hard work. Keep it up !

I LOVE watching your reviews..no flashiness just straight up talk thru, swatches and your honest opinion as always! I do actually like the colourpop ultra matte lips. I think it depends on one's application and how dry a persons lips are naturally. I personally believe for $6 each they're quite comfortable and beautiful and beat a lot of higher end matte lip products currently on the market! Plus they don't transfer and the wear time is awesome. However, I also noticed cracking in all of the colors I purchased and the lip ring can happen often times if you're not careful about layering. The color range is outstanding but some can be streaky which is obviously disappointing. I would give these a 7.5/10 there's definitely room for improvement but I quite enjoy them :D Anyway, great review girl!
I'm so happy I found you on TH-cam. You're always so honest and I feel much more confident in my purchases because I've seen the product on a similar skin tone (I have a medium-dark Indian skin tone). So thank you so much for doing TH-cam because you really are so helpful to me :)

Thank you for offering such a genuine and informational review. I am a liquid lipstick junkie and was intrigued by these but as you say in your video no one was commenting on the quality of the formula, they were all only doing swatch videos. I own Lime Crime, Dose of Colors and Jeffrey Star lipsticks, which are at a higher price point (but worth it), so the fact that the Colour Pop ones were so inexpensive made me consider trying out some shades that I wouldn't normally want to purchase for $20. But your honest review has convinced me save my hard earned money.
Anytime im buying makeup/beauty items i always see if you have a review about it. I value your opinion because of your honesty and candid-ness. Also your style of review is very thorough, all my questions are answered. Please don't ever change!!

I kept your review in the back of my mind when I was ordering and mostly got colors that are on your "good" list. I think I bought 6 of them and so far I've tried Solow, Trap, and Creeper, and those definitely are opaque, though there is still the issue when reapplying them that you had where they get bunchy and clumpy and just plain gross. Thanks for posting a 100% honest review. I know it's hard to say negative things about a brand that you like, but now the rest of us know what we're in for if we order them!

Finally someone on TH-cam tells the truth I heard so many positive reviews that I thought I was nuts for thinking how bad they were. The dryness of the product isn't even the problem for me they feel fine on my lips but when I look in the mirror my lips look the worst I've ever seen them I didn't even realize how much cracks I had in my lips til I put these on. And then I saw powder coming off my lips. These are just really strange. So upset I rarely hate colourpop products but these are just really bad. And when I emailed them and told them about it and asked if I got a bad batch cause of how bad they were they just said sorry all we can tell you is to put on Chapstick before. Like wtf?! Horrible customer service 😒😒 don't even think I'll ever purchase from them again honestly. Plus five dollar shipping just so my package takes 2-3 weeks to get here from California. No thank u.

LOVE that you gave a thorough review!! You're exactly right, I found tons of swatch videos but hardly any actual reviews. My experience with the formula was totally different than yours though... I've worn Bumble, Tulle, and Avenue for about 10 hours each and they were all amazing!! No cracking at all, not too drying, only a tiny bit of fading... I absolutely loved them! I wear a thick lip mask to bed every night though, so I think my lips might be unusually hydrated lol. Thanks for the review!

I haven't tried these ColourPop liquid lipsticks, but I don't even like the matte lippy stix. So drying, I just can't use them, not when, like you said, there are so, SO many other better matte lipsticks in drugstore and high-end brand names. Thank you for this honest review!
I was waiting for this video and I was so pleasantly surprised to find it now! So glad to hear this review..I was also waiting for it before i purchased one. Now I am pretty certain I won't buy any, even though, like you, I love the brand, especially the shadows. They have hands down one of the best eye shadow formulas I have ever come across. It's a shame they didn't get the liquid lipsticks right :(
sophie herb Oh I absolutely LOVE ColourPop, but that doesn't mean that everything they do is perfect! Their shadows are amazing, but these were just incredibly disappointing :(
thanks for your honest opinion. i got three of them - highball, avenue, zipper. they are definitely high maintenance to apply and they definitely aren't buildable. i also wish other youtubers are more honest and have a more thorough reviews - especially since the formula varies for each color. for some reason zipper for me is kind of patchy but i'll try it again w/ fully exfoliated/moisturized lips. the first time i applied them, i applied way too much and it got hella messy. you have to use a tiny bit and it also dries super super fast!
So so so glad that these were sold out and that I didn't get the opportunity to buy them. I trust your opinion 100% and your review definitely saved me from spending a lot more money than I would have if I didn't watch. Thank you for your honesty!! 💕

Thanks for the review, it's totally true that everyone was just giving first impressions. People just get so caught up in the excitement. I can't handle drying formulas so I had suspected that these weren't going to be for me, but I'd still like to try their more traditional lipsticks (I still have yet to make my first order from Colourpop).

I have watched so many "reviews" of these products and most people just dance around the true formula of the product. One of the most honest reviews I saw was from temptalia. Some of the shades are so pretty but idk if I can buy them if they're that drying. Even the stila lipsticks seem relatively dry to me (not particularly uncomfortable), but not the best feeling in the world. Thanks for being honest!! The colors trap, solow, and bumble really catch my eye though. :( I NEED to try the kat von d liquid lipsticks so badly.

Honestly I have no complaints about the Ultra Matte Lip line... Granted, I only snagged 3 colors before they sold out, but the formula on the three I have is fine. It is no more drying than KVD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick and they don't flake off on me at all. Idk. I really like them and the quality is great, for the price especially. I wore one on a date tonight and it stayed put through eating and drinking.

Thank you for the truly honest review! Not much youtubers talk about the formula though Kathleenlights once said that the formula is really REALLY dry and some colors are cracky. I would never know which color is cracky or smooth or how dry it is if I didn't watch your review. Thank you again and from about 5-6 colors that i wanted to buy, now there are only 2 colors that i'm actually going to buy. They're Bumble and Avenue. :D

The funny thing is two of the three shades I really want are shades that you actually liked. That makes me feel better. So, if I still want them in August, I will probably pick up those two colors and hold off on the third. I LOVE your honest reviews! I don't always agree 100% (I do love 3/5 of Anastasia Beverly Hills lipsticks because they do work for me) but I trust your opinion more than the majority of other youtubers.

Thanks so much for your review! I just received my I order (I bought 6; the darkest colors, Tulle, and Creeper) swatched them on my arm and hated them!! They started to crack and flake off minutes after they dried. I LOVE how affordable they are and their huge range of colors but if this is what I'm going to deal with on my lips they will sit at the bottom of my container.

You described these perfectly! I am so bummed about the flaking...that totally shocked me...I had pieces on my chin..on my clothes...not cool! So I am definitely sticking to one layer only! I got like 14 of these and wishing I got less :(

Btw- I have to mention that the Colour pop I bought were most of the ones you recommended. I just think that we rely on TH-cam to inform us of products but they can always work differently on everyone. For this reason, if I buy a product because I was "convinced" by TH-cam, I go in knowing it could work and it might not... For another example everyone raves over the Jordana mascara, it's $3, no biggie, but that crap has yet to convince me of its greatness. It's messy, takes forever to dry and it's MESSY! I said all this because I feel comfortable expressing myself on your channel. Just trying to keep things a bit positive. Yes some things are over hyped but I would have been excited about these regardless because it was Colour pop. In the end we decide if what we are spending our money on. Point blank.
It's crazy but I bought six of them and I haven't experienced the drying you mentioned. They went on like a dream and I forget that it's even on. I still love Colour Pop and their brand. I for one love liked these over Dose of Colors. I was extremely disappointed in those and I paid mega dollars for some of their limited edition liquid mattes.

You should defiantly try the Milani Liquid Lipsticks! The formula is really nice!!!! I wish they were not Limited Edition!! Great Video!! I only bought a few colors and Im happy with them but they are super drying.

Thank you for offering such a genuine and informational review. I am a liquid lipstick junkie and was intrigued by these but as you say in your video no one was commenting on the quality of the formula, they were all only doing swatch videos. I own Lime Crime, Dose of Colors and Jeffrey Star lipsticks, which are at a higher price point (but worth it), so the fact that the Colour Pop ones were so inexpensive made me consider trying out some shades that I wouldn't normally want to purchase for $20. But your honest review has convinced me save my hard earned money.
Anytime im buying makeup/beauty items i always see if you have a review about it. I value your opinion because of your honesty and candid-ness. Also your style of review is very thorough, all my questions are answered.

I kept your review in the back of my mind when I was ordering and mostly got colors that are on your "good" list. I think I bought 6 of them and so far I've tried Solow, Trap, and Creeper, and those definitely are opaque, though there is still the issue when reapplying them that you had where they get bunchy and clumpy and just plain gross. Thanks for posting a 100% honest review. I know it's hard to say negative things about a brand that you like, but now the rest of us know what we're in for if we order them!

Finally someone on TH-cam tells the truth I heard so many positive reviews that I thought I was nuts for thinking how bad they were. The dryness of the product isn't even the problem for me they feel fine on my lips but when I look in the mirror my lips look the worst I've ever seen them I didn't even realize how much cracks I had in my lips til I put these on. And then I saw powder coming off my lips. These are just really strange. So upset I rarely hate colourpop products but these are just really bad. And when I emailed them and told them about it and asked if I got a bad batch cause of how bad they were they just said sorry all we can tell you is to put on Chapstick before. Like wtf?! Horrible customer service 😒😒 don't even think I'll ever purchase from them again honestly. Plus five dollar shipping just so my package takes 2-3 weeks to get here from California. No thank u.

LOVE that you gave a thorough review!! You're exactly right, I found tons of swatch videos but hardly any actual reviews. My experience with the formula was totally different than yours though... I've worn Bumble, Tulle, and Avenue for about 10 hours each and they were all amazing!! No cracking at all, not too drying, only a tiny bit of fading... I absolutely loved them! I wear a thick lip mask to bed every night though, so I think my lips might be unusually hydrated lol. Thanks for the review!

I haven't tried these ColourPop liquid lipsticks, but I don't even like the matte lippy stix. So drying, I just can't use them, not when, like you said, there are so, SO many other better matte lipsticks in drugstore and high-end brand names. Thank you for this honest review!

So glad to hear this review..I was also waiting for it before i purchased one. Now I am pretty certain I won't buy any, even though, like you, I love the brand, especially the shadows. They have hands down one of the best eye shadow formulas I have ever come across. It's a shame they didn't get the liquid lipsticks right :(
sophie herb Oh I absolutely LOVE ColourPop, but that doesn't mean that everything they do is perfect! Their shadows are amazing, but these were just incredibly disappointing :(
thanks for your honest opinion. i got three of them - highball, avenue, zipper. they are definitely high maintenance to apply and they definitely aren't buildable. i also wish other youtubers are more honest and have a more thorough reviews - especially since the formula varies for each color. for some reason zipper for me is kind of patchy but i'll try it again w/ fully exfoliated/moisturized lips. the first time i applied them, i applied way too much and it got hella messy. you have to use a tiny bit and it also dries super super fast!

Thanks for the review, it's totally true that everyone was just giving first impressions. People just get so caught up in the excitement. I can't handle drying formulas so I had suspected that these weren't going to be for me, but I'd still like to try their more traditional lipsticks (I still have yet to make my first order from Colourpop).

I have watched so many "reviews" of these products and most people just dance around the true formula of the product. One of the most honest reviews I saw was from temptalia. Some of the shades are so pretty but idk if I can buy them if they're that drying. Even the stila lipsticks seem relatively dry to me (not particularly uncomfortable), but not the best feeling in the world. Thanks for being honest!! The colors trap, solow, and bumble really catch my eye though. :( I NEED to try the kat von d liquid lipsticks so badly.

Honestly I have no complaints about the Ultra Matte Lip line... Granted, I only snagged 3 colors before they sold out, but the formula on the three I have is fine. It is no more drying than KVD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick and they don't flake off on me at all. Idk. I really like them and the quality is great, for the price especially. I wore one on a date tonight and it stayed put through eating and drinking.

I would never know which color is cracky or smooth or how dry it is if I didn't watch your review. The funny thing is two of the three shades I really want are shades that you actually liked. That makes me feel better. So, if I still want them in August, I will probably pick up those two colors and hold off on the third.
I LOVE your honest reviews! I don't always agree 100% (I do love 3/5 of Anastasia Beverly Hills lipsticks because they do work for me) but I trust your opinion more than the majority of other youtubers.
So I have been doing my research and you just confirmed what I have been hearing about colourpop liquid lipsticks...I'd rather pay 10 plus on quality liquid lipsticks than have to stretch my lips or do many tricks just for the lipstick to work. Thank you for your honest review!

Thanks so much for your review! I just received my I order (I bought 6; the darkest colors, Tulle, and Creeper) swatched them on my arm and hated them!! They started to crack and flake off minutes after they dried. I LOVE how affordable they are and their huge range of colors but if this is what I'm going to deal with on my lips they will sit at the bottom of my container.
So what you're saying is that (generally speaking) the darker colors are a better bet with this line? The heads up is much appreciated

Btw- I have to mention that the Colour pop I bought were most of the ones you recommended. I just think that we rely on TH-cam to inform us of products but they can always work differently on everyone. For this reason, if I buy a product because I was "convinced" by TH-cam, I go in knowing it could work and it might not... For another example everyone raves over the Jordana mascara, it's $3, no biggie, but that crap has yet to convince me of its greatness. It's messy, takes forever to dry and it's MESSY! I said all this because I feel comfortable expressing myself on your channel. Just trying to keep things a bit positive. Yes some things are over hyped but I would have been excited about these regardless because it was Colour pop. In the end we decide if what we are spending our money on. Point blank.

It's crazy but I bought six of them and I haven't experienced the drying you mentioned. They went on like a dream and I forget that it's even on. I still love Colour Pop and their brand. I for one love liked these over Dose of Colors. I was extremely disappointed in those and I paid mega dollars for some of their limited edition liquid mattes.

You should defiantly try the Milani Liquid Lipsticks! The formula is really nice!!!! I wish they were not Limited Edition!! Great Video!! I only bought a few colors and Im happy with them but they are super drying.
