    I purchased a set of Moto-cnc Honda VFR 800 bar risers for £54.99 from eBay and filmed how long it would take to fit. The quality is amazing and the finish is perfect, I was more than surprised on how easy they were to install.

    They stated they realized the mistake and there is the correct part on its way... THYEY CORRECTED IT!!! Before i sent the email.
    I did check my email and noticed one from them stating the error.
    Bottom line.

    This video convinced me to buy a set for my VFR750 however once fitted turning left knocked the kill switch and turning right activated the high beam switch. Had to modify the fairing at the mirrors to splay it apart. Company blamed my bike, poss non OEM parts or set up and decided not to allow my review to be visible on their site. Bike is standard with a very common Puig flip screen. I do agree with the quality of manufacture and the improved riding position.

      That’s surprising as I had no issue with mine whatsoever, didn’t fowl anything. Check your forks haven’t been lowered in the yoke, a lot of people lower the fork about 10mm

    They look like nice bits of kit, very well engineered. Out of interest, do the instruction give any direction on the minimum amount of fork stanchion that must be protruding through the adaptor section in order to reclamp the bars? I’m only asking as I have my forks as low in the bars as they will go. Basically the spring ring rests against the top of the bars.So am unsure if I’d need to drop the yokes down a little.

    • @Motourev
      @Motourev  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Kevs Shed wow that is low, no the instruction don’t state it but on mine the bar riser is more or less 50% on the fork and the filler cap fills the other 50% so I would say at least 12.5mm about yoke

    • @KevsShed
      @KevsShed 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Motourev: Motorcycle Tours & Reviews to be honest, I haven’t looked at the manual to confirm exactly how much fork should protrude. I may do that first and then give it an educated estimate before fitting risers 👍🏻

    Don’t forget to cover your tank and fairing top in case you drop them as he did 😳 and in case you lose some brake fluid, do them one at a time and try and keep your bars up right while off 👍 was thinking of getting some but don’t like how the clip on is half off the fork when refitted ?😳🤔 and then a cap is put on to make up the space which is not held to the fork top, am I right ? Or am I missing something?

    Hi, I watched this video after logging into Moto CNC's site. The video was listed under the CBR1100XX for handlebar risers. Presumably they are exactly the same for the Blackbird and the VFR that you are working on? Another question; you removed the circular clips but I didn't see those going back on - are the clips redundant once the risers are fitted? Thanks.

    • @Motourev
      @Motourev  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is a brilliant question, I’ve never noticed that, we do leave them on and I’ve never questioned it. I think what we find here in the uk is the less the bike is modified the easier it is to sell onwards. When buying uk people like things to be original and not modified, it seems to increase value here
