- Footage of my friend's BAJA 5b SS- 26cm3. We lately found a dry artificial lake which was perfect for testing the new tires. As you can see, these rear tires have much bigger studs than the original ones, more fun and control of the car. It's fast, fun, it has incredibly performing suspension, it goes everywhere despite being RWD, and is as noisy as a decent 125cc motorbike;
Some 40mph shots, drifts, doughnuts and cool jumps.
Notice some slight mods like shocks protection, plastic engine bay protection, some skid plates, however the mechanical parts and suspension are the original ones.

What I've learned after getting mine. Videos don't really show how loud these actually are. Standing close to it when it takes of is pretty deafening. But it sure sounds awesome. I got mine used with a factory new 26cc engine and ss pipe for $400. Apart from the tires being worn out it seemed to be driven very sparse. It runs great.

In my eyes probably the best overall rc car ever.I have a 23cc Baja with just exhaust.But I had one built by large scale rc with a 30.5cc Baja and one word power insane.

just bought me son the king motor version..it's ferkin awesome after having constant problems with nitros.
I dont know much about 2 stroke RC cars because I've always had nitro and brushless, how fast does the average 2 stroker go? Are reliable?
the clones are alot better now, cant go wrong getting one over the hpi.

to buy a 5bss and put the required gear i nit. radio throttle servo reciever battery costs about 1500. but you can buy a rtr for about 1100

brand new that buggy one, the 5b in the vid will set you back around $1200 or so. give or take a few as different places sell them for different prices. i have the shortcourse truck version, the 5sc. they also use to make a desert truck version called the 5t and i have that body on mine. second hand you can get one thats only had a few tanks through for $750 if you try. theyre just the originals though. rovan, king motors, FG, theyre cheaper clones but not as good in my opinion.
If anyone is considering on buying this, Get the HPI Baja 5B SS kit, $909.00 and it comes with better parts than the RTR version, I would recommend the Futaba 3PM 2.4 Ghz radio with the s3050 futaba servo. Now you do have to build the Baja 5B SS kit but there are advantages to this kit, #1 the engine is more powerful at 26cc and has the tuned exhaust Vs. the RTR version that has the 23cc and standard exhaust. 2# you willl know its put together well, and will know how to repair parts yourself.

$800-$1200 depending on which model. Kits are cheaper but it probably won't have any radio or steering.
