As a Swede myself, I am very proud of the Vlastuin Company for still making T-Cabs for people, I myself really wants a T-Cab as well, but it does cost €€€ a lot lol. Even if Scania has stopped with the Torpedo Series, I am still proud of their Swedish origin. If you can pass off a message from me to them, let them know that some Swedes are behind them and supporting them for the continuation of the Torpedo Trucks. Much love from Sweden!
He’s maybe americas number 2, I discovered Scania and been to their museum twice before Bruce’s first discovery of his Scania. I just don’t have the money or resources to find and buy one. Fell in love with them from euro truck sim and recently got my real CDL to maybe gain experience and maybe get to drive one one day lol
I always thought Scania T models had a extended chassis. If conversion from S(R) to T is that simple, I think its a very nice idea to provide more collision safety for the truck driver. Well done!
The Volvo will look better when it has a proper paint job on it. I do tanker work, this would be ideal for that, each to their own but I think it’s so ugly it’s quite handsome 🤔The Dutch 🇳🇱 will always find a way 👏
I wouldn't mind seeing what they do with the DAF XG and the Actros. There's obviously a demand for bonneted trucks, so if a small company like this can do it, why not the manufacturer?
That's a good question. Trucks are pretty much tailored for their buyers anyway. It must be cheaper to fit a T-cab on a truck when it's manufactured than buying a cabover and convert it. And this is some kind of hybrid, a combination of a cabover and a T-cab. A separately designed T-cab would look different
I don't know much about trucks, but is there a benefit to having a bonneted truck over a cab over engine truck. Or is it just for looks and to have something different? I like them by the way.
Here are 4 reasons: - Reduced aero drag, so better fuel economy at highway speeds - More comfortable ride for the driver as they sit mid-chassis instead of directly over the front axle - Frontal collision safety - The engine can be accessed without having to tilt the cab
The "torpedo" is not originally made by Scania, the small company Vlast make it, they did star to make that crazy Volvo and working on a Merc, ha ha ha, Torpedo's are very much look after and expensive to buy even used.I do see some USA trucks on EU roads , are they operations legal in transport or just drive it as a fun use.? TH
I like the old bonnet trucks, but I don't understand why Vlastuin are making these? Is it only for the looks, because the trucks look better, or is there any function with the bonnet trucks? Nonetheless, it is really cool to see, I miss these on the roads! ❤
Not a fan, I liked the previous T-Cab Scanias, but I just don't get these. It's not what Scania would have built, the 2&3series T's were lower mounted than the R cab, the 4 series the same height as an R cab, all with a flat floor with the engine out front. Here we take an S cab (Scania's Magnum), leave the cab mounted back but still away up high in the air needlessly (because there's no engine underneath) and have a massive big fibreglass bonnet (like an upturned bathtub) hovering way high above the engine too?. How they get type approval and insurance il never know, just hope ones not involved in a big accident one day and there's questions need answered.
They get type approval because they don't change mountings and cab heights. If they would change all that, homologation is lost and probably Scania won't warrant anything.
You Make ugly trucks, Then Scania don't Make a Truck like That, It isent a Truck like Volvo VNL American, Scania would Make a Truck much beautiful, like Volvo VNL.

Bruce Wilson, America's number 1 Scania fan, would love a tour of that place....
Bruce Wilson is a moron..

Trucker Tim needs to see this
The amount of money Tim wasted to refurbish and rebuild his truck, he could buy one the newer generation with all many fancy features.
@@EduardSLVRUYes… Those 3 x so called project trucks are nowhere, period
🤣
Yes, but he already saw it and he took a Scania T-CAB the grey one see in the channel guys.
Funny how he just did a video picking this one up 😂

Better look at the tuft, much better looking t cabs

Brilliant. Ironically, I think I prefer the old nose. It has much more presence
😊 Hurraa ✌️ good work ✌️ 😊
Very cool
NICE!
Most powerful Scania!
very nice
✌️🚚💨
I see they also make a bonneted version of the next generation Scania R model. Personally, i prefer it. It reminds me of the 3 series T cab.
scania good~
Heel origineel 👍
😂You are an enthusiast and fan of those electric carts (mobility scooter).
Bloody nice

Lager brandstof verbruik? Of alleen looks?
Is gewoon voor de looks, but who cares?
Tidy, any gone to the USA ?
is there any benefits of having a T cab compared with a normal S series?
Increased driver protection in the event of a head on crash.
@@dunes7Is that just a logical guess or have they actually done some tests?
Didn't tim deliver the orange one?
It looks better with lower roof. Like the first inte in the video.
Wat kost zo iets
I need that.
What is the benifit of T cab
Needs shorter trailer afterwards??

Just for the looks, really. Some guys love it so much they are willing to spend the money and Vlastuin facilitates that.
I like the older one more, the new headlights look like cheap 90s tuning

What is the advantage of this, please explain.
Its just the looks!
Newer than the 3 - series looks awful to me
does the cab still have the air suspension, or is it bolted like the inferior american trucks?
5:23 you can see the gap from the cabin and the hood. That’s for the suspension
Long nose scania tell me how cool 😎😎😎 it is.
The volvo will always look a bit weird as a T-cab with the frontsteps still there in the grille serving no purpose any more.
As much as I like the T cab.. I prefer the Longline, I'd rather have the extra space in the cab...
Is this only for looks or is there any benefits,
