This video demonstration will include pre-recorded videos showing patients with spinal cord injury using DARPA developed technologies. The demonstration will focus on sensory restoration using spinal stimulation. It will include brief description of the tech, demonstration of stimulation induced proprioceptive feedback, haptic feedback and interviews with the subject about how DARPA developed tech has impacted them.

Looking forward to this treatment being more available! The restoration of sensation, bowel & bladder function, and sexual function is my greatest hope in terms of future treatments -- even moreso than being able to stand and walk again. Really excited to see that implants are going both above and below the injury site! Compared to other prospective treatments that focus on quality of life or stimulation that only works in therapy sessions, this seems really promising for independent usage.

I am so happy for you and I feel that the people who are constantly doomsaying and fearmongering about AI need to be reminded of cases like yours. As in, it's easy to be pessimistic when there's no real, immediate cost attached to it and you can just do the normal human thing, default towards the negative.
For myself, I am fortunate to not have a physical disability, but mental illness and addiction have wreaked havoc on my life for many years and seeing the very promising results coming out of labs for the treatment of mental disorders, something else very much dependent on AI to progress, is similarly inspiring. You won't always have to live like this. I won't always have to live like this.

Was so easy to follow, just the right length and well edited.
I don’t myself have the injury, have a different perspective. I can see information sharing is too limited. This excellent vid has been out over a year, could have thousands of hits.
I found the subject matter by viewing videos about a 13 year old Italian with AHDS. As the internet would have it, one thing led to another and another still.
In eight weeks, this kids subscriber-ship has gone up 100K. He'll be at 500K by summer.
There is no shortage of people who have spinal cord injury. What there is now is optimum….tools and techniques, skills and interest, and finally, crowd source. Move away from grants to wait to be funded, be the funding.
Recently news item showed exoskeleton now ready, 174K cost. No one will pay it.
    Oh, really?
    All systems Go.
Bless you. You are vanguard change.

I really love this demo. Thx for sharing. Of course, in my perspective, I've no doubt that the 21st century will be a healthy and Wellbeing one. The Autonomous Cars will reduce traffic accidents. And we're working hard in order to build Healthy and Safe City. Furthermore, the rise and adoption of unmanned weapons, the application of AI to military will reduce in a dramatic way injuries. Moreover, Robot also could minimize the risk of seniors accidents. However, always relevant to anticipate in case. Furthermore, we can export our expertises as well. Function restoration after spinal cord injury using spinal stimulation and advanced AI will help in the future. Yes! so happy that we've more evidence of the importance of AI. During the 21st century, AI will be everywhere one US DoD experts said recently !Keep going !
