Ed Butcher... what a legend! Music For The Recently Deceased will forever be one of my top 3 albums and to this day i still frequently listen to it! And if you don't know about Eternal Lord or The Hunt For Ida Wave - check em out, Ed was vocalist on both bands aswell!
@@Marijonukas My favourite is "This is not my ideal way..." , though the whole EP is brilliant. So sad Ed stopped making music (except this Keep Sake project that just released few tracks... and it's not heavy stuff at all)
Mannnn Ed was absolutely insane. Such a shame they couldn't make it work. JJ has the biggest sounding kit too. His snare sound from their DVD is burned into my head.
Such a shame ed went off the rails. Imagine how far this band could’ve gone with him. Also feel sorry for jona, he really wanted this band to work. I saw these guys when they had crafter singing, then Edward, then Jamie. Sat down with jona at the pub not long after his split with BMTH. Poor dude was pretty unlucky with his endeavours after prom queen. JJ was the most successful, had a chat with Andrew Carey a few months back and he said deez nuts are still around. Haven’t seen them in ages but to hear they still going strong is pretty impressive
i never really cared for the vocals on any album but the music...man the best it tought me guitar with emotion. i love this band so much. with the right front man they'd be over KSE...
It's weird that people think Ed was the best vocalist for IKTPQ. If you ever saw him perform Crafter era songs (like the two in this set list), he was absolutely awful at them. You can't tell me Ed was the best when Crafter could quite comfortably do Ed's stuff but Ed couldn't do Crafter's stuff.
Butchers vocals are far superior to crafters. Crafter songs and lyrics on the early stuff was horrible, there’s a reason music for the recently deceased is the album everyone knows
@@masononeill3981 You clearly weren't around during the early days or when this record was atually released. I'm also guessing you never saw Butcher try to sing any of Crafter's songs live. Plot twist, he was terrible. Butcher also just wasn't good live. He was a one trick pony. The reason it's the album everyone knows if because it was the album that came out at the peak of popularity, and that was from relentless touring and hard work. Butcher's vocals had nothing to do with it.
@@masononeill3981 You're entitled to your wrong opinion but I've been going to Prom Queen shows since 2002 and seen every vocalist since Lee Stacy. Butcher was easily the worst live, and it wasn't close. Sorry to break it to you but the dude sucked, both live and as a person.
@@tailtaptailtap they didn’t give him a penny after he left the band but kept using his lyrics / videos / releasing vinyl etc etc with his voice - even slogans on merch were his lyrics. Pretty weak!
Ed Butcher was on another level, 2006 was the best year for metalcore
This
agreed
That 06-09 Metalcore was the best era
Yes, it was special. I miss those days so much.
Unreal! This was my first metal show back when i was 18. Never forgot it but to see this again is so damn good!
Noone has topped Ed Butcher in Metal for Australian music, he was on another level and we weren't ready for it!!
Too bad his other bands weren’t very good
@@Cameron-ij8gx Eternal Lord was okay... The rest were meh haha
@@mitchdeathblossom yeah none of them were close to music for the recently deceased unfortunately, his vocals are insane on it
@@Cameron-ij8gx 💯
Please come back boys! We need prom queen back on stage
What an Era 🔥
That 06-09 era was on different level back then
What a gem. Waited 15 years to see this. THANK YOU IKTPQ!
RIP Sean.

I still listen The hunt for Ida Wave songs such as : a graphic way to show that no one cares and mark my words on a weekly basis

The good old days... Miss this so much
This album is definitely on a Mount Rushmore of best Metalcore albums
This, THIS was peak IKPTQ. Ed was the missing piece.
How is the worst of their three vocalists (four if you count the fact they had Ben Coyte in their band) the missing piece?

Someone seriously needs to AI upscale the 2006 deadfest footage that was played on ABC
would pay hundreds of dollars for this
Prom Queen in their prime, fantastic upload!
Come back with crafter !!
YEEEAAAAH
OMG
Butcher!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Lets fucking goooo!!!!
I'm in that crowd somewhere, and it was hearing Ed sing When Goodbye Means Forever, that I knew he'd never be able to compete with Crafter.
Lyrically and vocally, he was streets ahead of Crafter.
crafter is trash
Sharks!
WTF WHERE DID THIS COME FROM?!?!?!?
Fucking yeaahhhhhh....coolll
Brutal .. fucking Ed
I lov u

Still fleecing Ed Butcher for views and listens and him not seeing a penny I see 👎🏻 pretty sad.
What do you mean?
Yes bro, all 2000 of them. They can maybe send him a cheque for 15p
