This was the first game I ever went to. Even though the sun was shining, it was a cold and miserable day in more ways than one. I spent the next season watching United against teams like Orient and Bristol City, but we still had the highest average gate in the country.
l was a student at the time and was listening to the game on the radio, after all these years my reaction is the same ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha hope l live to see it again-
Love that bit at around 10.00 manyoo fans giving Mike Doyle shit then when he turns around to confront them and they scatter. RIP Mike blue through and through
another urban myth here saying Denis law relegated United. Had match finished 0--0 or 5 nil to United , it wouldnt have mattered, they would have been relegated regardless of results elsewhere. It's like United fans saying Frank Stapeltobns 2 goals in march 83 at Maine road or Ryan Giggs winner at Maine Road in 96 sent City down.
And not a fuck was given that day by Mike Doyle, striding through the laughable rag pitch invaders like a man who knew he owned the fucking place. RIP blue

This was when it was cool to support united, ground is full of goons nowadays
@IATM29 Dennis was indeed a broken man after that goal. That was his last touch as a professional footballer.
brilliant
Brian Moore' you've got to fence those bloody fans in!' ahahaha
And of course we all know what fencing in fans led to.
