One thing ya'll need to know that you might have missed is that Walt has a nobel prize for crystallography. Meaning he's an actual genius and not just a highschool chemistry teacher.
He doesnt have a Nobel Prize, he wouldnt be likely to be a high school teacher if he did and people would mention it a lot in the show. There IS however a plaque that he reads that says his work contributed to other work that earned the prize.

TOP TIER TELEVISION!!!! Watched this when it originally premiered on AMC and it’s been my barometer for other television shows. For a while nothing ever came close; until ‘Better Call Saul’ came out! You both will trip out on how this show has such greatness to get better and BETTER with each passing season

I'm watching along with someone else at the moment and they're taking too long for my binging needs, now I search "breaking bad reactions" in hopes to find someone who finished it a couple years ago so i can skim through it, and find out YOU GUYS are now watching?! damn now I gotta watch along with two different time lines! haha! that's awesome you guys are venturing down this road. good luck and have fun. this show is GREAT!!!! It's a shame this probably isn't getting enough traction to become full series. Your reaction pushed me over the edge to finally give this show a try and I'm now absolutely engrossed in it.
Certainly a very reaction-worthy show that I will be rewatching with reactions after I'm done. Would be awesome if it was with you guys.
Honestly, regardless of likes you should continue this show, mainly for two reasons:
- Not all episodes will do well, and the most beloved parts are in later seasons, so that's where most of the views would come from;
- This is one of, if not the best show ever made. In terms of writing, direction, cinematography it's nearly perfect, and a masterpiece.
With that in mind, I must say: this show does not hold your hand. They manage to wrap up every little detail they set up, and love to work with the editing and cinematography, or even the costume design to help telling the story of these characters. You gotta watch it with a critical mind, always making sense of the subtext. It's the true Breaking Bad experience, and what shows you the work of art that this is.
This show is something else, you guys are in for a wild ride.
One of the best pilots out there. Of any show. Ever. IMO there's a mid-life crisis, dude breaks bad, there's drugs, a sex scene, some tiddies, a gun fight or two. Bunch of drama. and a whole lot of suspense. It tells a whole lot of story, while also getting you SUPER invested.
This is so exciting. This series with the El Camino movie and the Better Call Saul Spin-Off is one of the best you will ever experience.

Ok guys, I have seen 20+ reactors to this show since it's my fav show ever. Yall seem cool so I will subscribe and watch yall thru this series. You HAVE to see the whole series. Will completely blow your minds! BTW, no not all chemistry teachers know how to make meth. Walt is superior at chemistry. You edited out the part where he was taking down all his awards to make the baby room.

To be clear, an ambulance ride in the states can be upwards of $5,000 and that’s just to take you *to* the hospital. Americans take this show very personally because most of us feel this level of desperation, capitalism truly is cancer. Mexican American here: “pendejo” is how you call someone a bitch in Spanish

Yeah, American health insurance is complicated. In 2011, I had to explain why I needed prenatal care, because no one in my husband's department (I'm under his insurance) needed that type of coverage (all men). I had to get approval for every single appointment, and if you don't know, there are a lot of appointments during pregnancy.
When my son was diagnosed with autism, I arranged for therapy, but the insurance company denied coverage because they felt that it was not a real condition. Then they sent me a bill for $400,000 for the 6 therapy sessions that he had, even though the therapy service would have only charged me $1400 for those 6 sessions. I fought it and won, but I still have to do it annually.
Even now in 2023, I had to beg to get a mammogram and they will only allow me to get one a decade.

If a tweaker can make crystal in a motel room, I'd imagine even a shitty chemistry teacher could do it well. Its not a hard thing to make, which is why it's popular. Walt, however, is a lot more than just a chemistry teacher. ;)

Guys, to appreciate this show you will need to pay close attention. Talking throughout will keep you from enjoying the series as you seem to have missed some important elements while chatting which will be important later. You missed Walter was part of a chemistry team that won the Nobel prize, and skyler is older than forty for example. Enjoyed your review.

When it comes to people actually trying to make meth from watching this show. It did happen a lot when this series was running. The show runners actually changed certain things about the cook method so you can’t actually learn to cook meth from watching the show

You know it’s funny to me that you guys are watching MLP alongside this. Despite the radical differences they are my 2 favourite shows. It’s gonna take awhile but you guys absolutely HAVE to watch Better Call Saul after this, it’s literally so good. BB and BCS are probably the closest to perfect TV.
