I haven't really purchased any new buildings since 2020, but this one is right up my alley. I love the idea of putting them up on the mantle or some floating shelves and that they don't take up as much room as traditional buildings. As much as I want some of the other buildings that came out this year, I think I'm going to hold off and just grab these two facade pieces. I'm hoping they continue with more traditional Halloween style pieces like haunted houses, cemeteries, and maybe a costume shop.
I think a graveyard one would be cool. I think they are awesome but I don’t collect them…yet. 😂 I love the blue and purple lighting together on this piece.
I love that they are doing multiple themes with the facades. They work great as a backdrop for a village, so variety is nice to have. I would love to see a few different carnival types. These will be much easier to power with the new extenders Lemax added to their lineup.
That is a great idea for the next facade, bringing back retired buildings in a facade.I recently contacted lemax asking to bring back retired buildings with updated led lighting, paint and audio etc. My go to would be Dr Tingle's laboratory

Doug, it looks like Lemax had you in mind when they styled this, it's right up your alley for sure. And I had liked the façade idea, especially the first one, but never wanted to hang something on my wall. Once you mentioned a fireplace mantle, I heard my wallet sigh. They would be perfect on our mantle and how I never thought of that I don't know. I thought I was already done with my Lemax shopping for the year with the last of the items arriving today. But perhaps not. Thanks, great review as always. And I would sure love to see a graveyard façade, that's always my favorite theme to display. [Edit] Maybe Raven Hill counts as a graveyard. I'll have to ponder that.

This is undoubtedly one of the best Lemax pieces they have released in the past few years. Great commentary and comparisons by you here, I agree about the Mad Pumpkin patch. It really seems like the facades and the candle/mist pieces are the absolute best of the best they have been coming out with in the past few years! PS: I am so excited for your cursed ruins review… it’s probably my most anticipated piece of the past few years besides the skull cave quarry, and I have a lot of comments on it! I plan to get that one + this facade this year!
Love this piece - maybe they could do a carnival themed one a giant circus tent with a food vendor on one side, a carnival game on the other with lion and tiger cages in the middle.
My first one I puchased was at Micheal's, The 2nd I got it on Ebay. It was 2014 and missing a few pieces but it was like $40 less used. I made the missing pieces out of Baking Polymer Clay. Now it's like brand new. I'm hooked now. Also made my own Trees, Bushes and Corn field with a Scare I sculpted and Baked...
I usually hate the facades, but this one has really grown on me and I like it a lot. Also the cardboard instead of styrofoam has grown on me considering how much easier it seems to take out the box.
Nice review. My crystal ball says facades will stick to the core themes for the foreseeable future. Personally, my village would like to have a spooky woods facade (trees, spiders, werewolf, cabin, etc) or a vampire caves facade.

Doug, I'm definitely going to get this one! I know you said all the facades are available, but as of this comment, I haven't seen this particular one listed or in a Michaels store as of yet. I actually haven't seen any of this year's Lemax collection at Michaels yet. I'll keep looking, though. I have a really cool setup for the first two Spooky Town Facades. I actually have them layered vertically on a wall! The Haunted Estates is on the bottom and the hill on that pieces leads right up to Raven Hill. It works out so cool! As for a new facade, I hope they do an extravagant Skeleton Haunted house! Have them strewn all around in fantastic poses. Also have some kind of animation with the lights like found on some of the Christmas Facades I own. Add a little new flair to the new one. Glad you got this piece Doug! Like you, I'm a huge fan of the whole pumpkin patch, corn maze, rustic thing. Maybe my #1 favorite theme? When I can't put much out, I still drag out these to display. I'm going to try my best to get a hold on this one (no budget this year unfortunately) bc these facades, like you said, skyrocket. Also, missing out on Raven Hill bummed me out but at the current secondary market price for it, I'm fine to let it remain out of my collection.
I used to collect certain villages whether Halloween and or Christmas, first time hearing of the facades. Kinda disappointed though that they are expensive to begin with and yet its only the front that is done. I do prefer the all around display items that are completely done. Thats just me. Another thing is, the Michael's i go to never have the displays light up or on... Kinda boring that they have the items out with the cords but you can't get a feel for them when they never hook them up. Oh well.
Why are the facades a better buy than say a regular haunted house or creepy hotel? If you had to choose between buying the pumpkin patch facade instead of the Mad Pumpkin Patch house.. would you?
I'd choose a building, especially the Mad Pumpkin Patch....but thankfully I don't have to choose and own them all. I'm not meaning to imply these are better than any kind of standalone house, but they may be for some people that don't want to set up a full on village. Different strokes, and all that

As for new facades, a whole scene as if from a movie would be cool. Like an alien invasion a la War of the Worlds, or maybe some pod people hatching, or a generic zombie or ghost attack. Seems like a facade gives them greater ability to make a whole scene come alive.

My husband and I love haunted houses, pumpkin patches and Cider. This piece is everything we love about the season and we can't wait to get one.
They should make them connectable, so you can build a long street

Any date for this year when they be in out ? I know it around the 3 week of July, unless something changes .
It’s usually mid July but I’ve heard from some collectors who work at Michaels that it might be right after 4th of July this year.
