    Was feeling lazy about watching this until you said "its only 3 episodes of rick and morty" , I actually watched the hole new season yesterday so no excuse now. Very helpful video thank you so much!

      I deeply understand the laziness , and we are all struggling with it. It seems like god made us in a way that we only enjoy things that are not productive😅,
      I'm happy it was useful ☺️

    Thank you!
    For some reason our network teacher didn't judge pertinent to show us how to use Cisco Packet Tracer... and our final exam is to build a network using Cisco Packet Tracer 🙄
    And he linked Cisco Packet Tracer's website to answer questions. So yeah, thank you very much!

    • @digidev7060

      @saramatelot8322 it was the same for me, eather they taught a simple subject with a high complexity or didn't bother to teach it at all, but if we set university aside being self-taught have another taste, it boosts your confidence and let you explore the concepts you like, watching 1.5 hour video about networking with a guy with bad English and without fun editing isn't an easy task, so be proud of yourself.

    In "Simulate IoT" , don't disable the HTTP which is useful for IoT service , otherwise , you can't go to the login page in IoT monitor and "server reset connection" will be displayed .
    You can disable all other services except HTTP , DHCP and IoT .

    In "Simulate FTP" session , I don't know why we need DNS server . We don't need to translate domain name into IP address since we don't have domain names .
    I remove the DNS server and everything still works fine .
    I guess you may want us to get familiar with the setting of DNS server .
    To be honestly , you teach very well , step-by-step , well-organised and easy to understand . You deserve more likes and views . It would be better if you can pronouce more clearly .

    1:21:55 Another way to get the DHCP IoT devices to use IP's that are in range is to shut off the access point, and turn it back on. I did still have to manually switch one IoT from DHCP to Static, then back to DHCP but the rest seemed to work automatically. :) Not a big deal when it's just 4 IoT, but if it was 40, it'd save a lot of clicking.

    1:05:10 Can the DNS server and DHCP server be on the same physical server? They're both listed under services for the server object in Packet Tracer.

    • @lampexxl8599
      @lampexxl8599 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, generally, a DHCP Server can also run a DNS on it, in a physical matter. Meaning only one device required for both to function.

    Hmm. For some reason the mobile phone isn't connecting for me. Maybe it's glitch. When I leave the phone on DHCP it puts the IP address in the wrong domain as well as the subnet mask. Still not connecting when it set it to static and manually assign the IP address either. The SSID and password is correct too.
