  • On this episode of My Classic Car, Dennis Gage travels near Atlanta to the Mustang Club of America's 20th anniversary celebration. In the classic designers and engineers segment, we feature Don Yenko, creator of the famous "sYc" Camaros and other great "Yenko Super Cars". Dennis gets an up-close look at a fully restored Boss 429 and learns the story behind the most muscular of factory Mustangs.

I'm new to the show, and I'm loving it. I just bought a 2018 Dodge Challenger T/A Plus and the Boss 429 definitely reminds me of it. Now off to all the other episodes. :)

Nice place to start. I like the segment talking about how to get an old car back up and running, I knew most of it but not about the rotor part; also there's the brake fluid pump at 8:50, I've never seen one before and it looks like such a great tool.

I love how the BOSS 429 was only worth $30000-$60000 back then

***** ; Ford built 500/year in 69, and 70. They put on a tiny carb, and rev. limited a 8,000+ Rpm engine to 6,000 and in some cases 4,500. It was lowered and widened. A better car than the Shelby, which was luxury by that point. It didn't take much to make it really fly.

Something to think about: when this originally was recorded, that 69 Boss Mustang was 27 years old. A 27yo mustang today would be those from 1994, the same body style that blue Saleen is.
