Kayak trip to Ghost Island

I paddled from the Oconee Pt. boat landing the Ghost Island (akas Cemetery Island). The boat landing is approximately 1 mile from the island. The old Harris cemetery is located on the island...hence the name. The Ghost term originated from the supposed haunting of the Harris plantation from the ghost of a descendant of a victim of the Salem, Mass. witchcraft trials. Her house was burned and the plantation house was built on the site.
