They showed the complete uncut version with everything in it on TV a month ago. Including the metamorphosis of karras changing with this possession guy played by Brad dourif so why didn't they use the TV version and remaster that? Instead of the horrendous VHS editing into the legion cut. There , rant over with .
How does this one compares visually and audio wise to the Scream Factory release? I have no idea which one to get. I don't care much about extras, just the video and audio quality.
The Arrow Video is superior, as it contains original stereo option that wasn't on Scream Factory release. Picture is the same from what I can see. It's overall better presented imho, and does have some extras that aren't on the SF release, like 2 extra commentaries, extra interview and nice detailed booklet.
There are cases in which Arrow Video discs are marked Region B but aren't actually region locked. Does anyone happen to know whether or not that is the case with this one?
@@alexbigday1587 Well, thank you very much for your response. Unfortunately, Amazon's information and even the case and disc labeling don't necessarily indicate the reality of whether or not a disc is region locked as its labeling would indicate. I have Arrow Video, StudioCanal, etc. discs that are labeled with the Region B symbol but, nonetheless, play in Region A players. One example is the StudioCanal Total Recall Steelbook from last year and no, I'm not talking about the 4K disc. This is not to mention that EVERY NSM Records Blu-ray is, in fact, region free while most if not all are labeled Region B. There's actually a spreadsheet someone has been good enough to create and upload which lists Arrow products and whether or not they are ACTUALLY region locked and if so, to what region or regions.
@@backforblood3421 I might be wrong about this, but I think all Arrow's films are Region B Locked. You might want to check their website to make sure of it
Cool. Not seen the Exorcist 3 in years. Will have to go pick this up. Not a fan of the 2nd one. Not seen that in years also. Maybe that needs a revisit at some point too. And I would recommend the 2 disc Robocop box set from Arrow.
sadly i got the one disc Robocop an the extras just seem like old stuff on there . this is a fantastic set of extras on here the commentarys are so good

I have to say they could have improved the picture quality for the "VHS" bits. I will have to look into what they are showing on the TV
The original Exorcist was released in 1973. Part 3 was released in 1990.

I never had a chance to see the scream factory release I always get the Arrow editions I am always happy with the quality

@@hector-sauvage Thanks then I will keep the Arrow edition!
@@M_Dutch97 You're welcome, this is actually a case where the extras are well worth watching too, as the production was riddled with difficulties ;)
Hands down the best psychological thriller I’ve ever seen!!!!!!!!
I feel bad for taking to long to getting round to watching it ! It is a great film both versions an i want more people to see it.

According to Amazon's description, it is region B locked. I own the Blu-ray and on the back of the cover you can see a B stamped on it
