I’m hoping the veteran gets hands on help to fix his home before baby….can u get Samaritan purse out there to help fix floors Seth? Or Operation Blessing?
All the people who dedicate their whole day to serving the community during times like these, they need more than our respect. They need national support.
I live in Western NC... I was blessed with people that wanted to help me after the hurricane... Someone donated 2 dehumidifiers, a new hot water heater and stove... As well as $100 food lion gift card... I'm so thankful and grateful to those people... Thank you ❤
Dang…after all these years of watching you help your community through teaching people about mountain biking and giving encouragement to newbs like myself…this one hits…when it gets tough…your right there Seth…hand up ready to go…I’m so glad I follow your channel! Love your work my guy❤!
Wow Seth! I love how You Tube allows people like you, Jimmy, Sean and so many others help out in ways like this! Please keep doing video updates as a lot of the world has already forgotten about western NC. I will watch every single video like this as much as I would watch one of your biking oriented ones🙂
That's so awesome. I did what I could by spending a few days this week down there. I personally met people with damaged roofs in Marion, Hendersonville, and NW Asheville/Leicester; a couple with a massive amount of trees in their yard and on top of their cars; and people whose homes were flooded in Black Mountain and Old Fort. There's so much need and so much work to do. I really hope I get the opportunity to go back and I hope a lot more people get involved.
Seeing that town in that condition is absolutely gut wrenching. Imagine if that were your home. You grow used to seeing it as a thriving community with beautiful features, and a disaster comes through and reduces it to piles of rubble everywhere. That rubble was once part of those people’s lives. Clothes, books, baby furniture, little kid’s precious toys. That hurts to look at. I wish i could hug every last one of them.
ive been watching your channel since i was 10yrs old now im 16, funny how time flies so fast, because of you i got a new personality, now im building my first enduro hardtail. keep up the good work! 💯💪🏻😊
It just breaks my heart to see these places I've enjoyed torn to pieces. Thank you Seth for helping so much, and for bringing us the news after the disaster.
I was also reminded of that. I remember how people drove there to help clean up, how there was a giant donation fund. Man people are actually good deep down. Seeing how with every tragedy people come together and help makes me feel better about the world. Even with so many death and destruction there's still love
I've never commented before, but I've been watching since Florida and just wanted to say thanks for everything, this one hurt a lot. But mad props to continue to cover this when everyone else has stopped, and mad props for really putting your boots on the ground.
So happy to see what ya'll were able to do for Steven and his young family. As an Asheville native I've driven through Swannanoa some for my job and it is absolutely devastating. You are a champion of the efforts we need right now.
Hey Seth- I just returned from serving over the last week with Samaritan's Purse in the Asheville, Arden, Black Montain and Swannanoa areas. The devastation is worse than what has been reported and sadly, seems to be falling out of the news cycle. I've watched most of your maintenance videos and had hoped to stop by and meet you in person but there just wasn't time and I'm now back in Washington State. Thanks for helping to support your community and shed some light on the ongoing relief efforts there. I plan to be back there with SP as soon as I can. Godbless....
God bless you and everyone out there working day after day, night after night, to help people get their lives back on track after this disaster. Only together can we get through the hardest times.
This is why TH-camrs will forever be better than big time celebrities. Big time celebrities act like we dont exist, youtubers are us. Anyways i cried during this, thank you for everything you're doing, i love nc, its my home
Thank you so much for these videos! Most coverage doesn’t come from a local perspective. You are truly giving hope to people. I’m coming back for the holidays to volunteer
Dude....absolutely love what you guys are doing for these folks! Great use of your platform and truly shows what kind of people you are. Well done guys....well done 🙏
Fun fact in these sad times... No one, in fact, lives at Berm Creek. Its currently empty and for sale. Minus bike features... Except for all the rocks.
Great storytelling. So sad seeing the state of things back there. I’m stoked you were able to help those people. Also makes it extra warm and fuzzy for me that he was also a vet.
Thank you to what you and guys like Jimmy are doing. Seeing WNC like this is such a heart break. Growing up my parents had a cabin in Lake lure and as an adult I would go up once or twice a year to Black Mountain, Swannanoa, & Waynesville for a week at a time to ride and hike. I was ready to move there in 2021 but ended up in the PNW instead but I always wanted to make one last move back there. While I cant be there in person to help, I will definately be sending something that way to do what I can. Thank you again for all the help to those wonderful people.
Decided to look at what this channel is up to nowadays and wow i am not regretting this. I'm really sorry to all the people who are affected. Seth is a solid dude, helping his community in these times. I hope that everyone can actually recover from this and that people will get the help they need to rebuild and get back on track. All of that is something i can barely imagine. Seth dude you really are an inspiration. Especially in times like these its kind people like you who are the backbone of society. I have been so cynical recently because of the state kf the world and private issues and watching this i genuinely feel inspired to get out there and start helping my community. If there's not good out there then i need to be the good. Thanks for leading as a good example
Wow we're cyclist but capable of so much more. Ive watched your channel for bike repair and now i watch to learn compassion and how to be a great human being 😊
This is amazing to see you reaching out and looking to impact a small part of your old community. My heart is with everyone down there as well. I used to live in Johnson city, tn and the town I jumped off for a lot adventure Erwin was hit just as bad. The people in the places you live give you life. Your right we are strangely affected in the devastation knowing the people and places we lived have been affected
I’ve been doing some work in an area nearby when I can get time off (Old Fort). Thousands of septic systems and sewer pipes compromised. People cleaning themselves in and around the creek. Lack of any kind of sanitary solutions. Can’t trust city water. It’s about to get cold and things will go dormant but the spring and summer will be a biological disaster up there. It’s no surprise people are getting sick from the dust. It’s absolutely everywhere. It really hasn’t rained since it happened and it’s just all kicked up so easily. It’s going to be years of recovery. WNC strong!!!
It’s so good to see people helping people, no matter what walk of life they come from, we are all in this together.. much love and prayers for you all..
The whole road right there at old 70 was destroyed and tore up. I live right there off that road and it was completely underwater. The water went from Bee Tree to the Harely Davidson dealership. I don’t think I will fully believe what we witnessed that day. I went to school with Stephen and it is heartwarming what you did for them!
Seth, you’ll probably never even see this but this episode caught me and made me very emotional. Thank you so much for yourself for the community that you help support for the influence you have on helping people and bringing people together again thank you thank you thank you
That is perhaps the most beautiful thing that I've ever seen. Thank you Seth for leveraging your network and showing us all that campassion and humanity are still alive ♥
Seing this town that way almost made me cry, this is horrible too see how nature can ruin ur life. All those people need help, and you are giving them some, ur an angel. Much love from france, u deserve it, and all the people from this town too.
I was there. Thank you for what your doing Seth! There will be so many needs for so long to come. The hardest part for me was seeing the people's faces when it hit them that this is their new normal.
Seth is such a great guy. It's crazy how he takes care of his family, his trails his channel AND HE STILL FINDS TIME TO SUPPORT THOOSE WHO NEED IT. Meanwhile i struggle to be a half decent human being every day. To call him a hero is to come up REALLY FKEN short
Hello from Black Mountain - Born and raised. We are rebuilding our home over here as well. It's weird knowing you live near us. I've watched you for years and years and still get reminded that you are in our area. Best of luck pushing forward!
I spent a lot of my childhood in Swannanoa. Lots of the places I have had memories are now just gone, no one really saw it coming, we all have seen the areas flood from rain just nothing to this extreme. One of the fields I used to play sports in and the school some of my friends went to turned into the resting ground for trailer homes, they are still finding bodies there
This is such a beautiful effort Seth and Jimmy, you guys are amazing. If you guys ever (god forbid) are in a time of need, I hope that you guys have someone who you can fall back on. I hope someone helps you like this.
Now the years have blown by me like the wind through the pines But the song of the south is ever sweet as homemade wine Oh, how I miss those mountains when the laurels are in bloom And the southern stars are dancin' 'round a North Carolina moon
I live in upstate SC and seeing all this seeing chimney rock a place that I've been to before wiped off the map is insane I really hope the best for all victims involved and I urge anyone who's able to donate
Thanks for allowing me to help with this effort.
Bless you too.
❤❤❤
Thank you for all that you've done to help.
Much love for you & all involved ❤
Wow, Jimmy! You're rad. Just subbed.
I love how much Seth gives back to his community
Saying gives back kind of cheapens what Seth is doing. He is doing charitable work!

The humility and compassion made me cry - you aren’t just bringing food, you are doing something beautiful.
This brought tears to my eyes. The horrific condition of the homes, the businesses, the town. Well done, you made a real difference when it counted.
Thanks for helping with this man, made me tear up seeing that tough veteran start tearing up at the kindness of you and Jimmy.
So sad , you are a great human being. We need more people like you in this world !
Dang…after all these years of watching you help your community through teaching people about mountain biking and giving encouragement to newbs like myself…this one hits…when it gets tough…your right there Seth…hand up ready to go…I’m so glad I follow your channel! Love your work my guy❤!

I go to church with Jamal! He is a good man. The video of the town is very impactful. So much devestation.

Oh my. I'm not crying. You're crying.
💌
Exactly
Same here!
It just breaks my heart to see these places I've enjoyed torn to pieces. Thank you Seth for helping so much, and for bringing us the news after the disaster.
Thanks for insuring our money gets into the right hands. God bless you all.
Thank you for your work. That brings back so many memories from helping people during the Ahrtal flooding in Germany a few years back.
I was also reminded of that. I remember how people drove there to help clean up, how there was a giant donation fund.

Blessings to the helpers. May their kindness be rewarded exponentially!!! Thank you for keeping us in the loop!
And this is why we love the bike community! Seth you are doing fantastic things here!
Good man, giving a bit back to help your old community
I've been in the dame position and it is so satisfying
I never thought I'd cry during a Berm Peak video.
God bless you, Seth - and all the folks dedicating time and resources to help strangers rebuild shattered lives.
god caused this flood! just like god caused the flood in the bible that killed everything on earth!
So happy to see what ya'll were able to do for Steven and his young family. As an Asheville native I've driven through Swannanoa some for my job and it is absolutely devastating. You are a champion of the efforts we need right now.

Samaritan's Purse did a ton of work for my friend who lost tons of big trees in his yard. Good people.
God bless you and everyone out there working day after day, night after night, to help people get their lives back on track after this disaster.
Only together can we get through the hardest times.

I thought I’d see if I missed any of your videos…no idea how this fell out of my feed, so many people still need to see this!
Thank goodness for people like y’all ♥️
Fun fact in these sad times... No one, in fact, lives at Berm Creek. Its currently empty and for sale. Minus bike features... Except for all the rocks.
Probably waiting on it to sell for profit. Classic.
Great storytelling. So sad seeing the state of things back there. I’m stoked you were able to help those people. Also makes it extra warm and fuzzy for me that he was also a vet.
You and everyone else here are doing the lord's work. You're a real mensch. Thank you.

I love your bike content. But what you’re doing with disaster recovery is so much more meaningful. Thank you for what you’re doing. Good job.

Grateful for keeping updates & extending extra help to people in need!
God bless America & the World! 🙏❤🙏
Keep these videos coming. I had no idea how bad the devastation was. Every time I see these videos it pushes me to donate. Thanks Seth and Jimmy!
Wow. So heartwarming. Thank you Seth and Jimmy!
Congratulations for such a beautiful action, Seth, Jimmy and everybody else that are helping too! The world needs more people like you

Automatic thumbs up

Holy cow Jimmy shows up everywhere! Love that guy!
Hello from Black Mountain - Born and raised. We are rebuilding our home over here as well. It's weird knowing you live near us. I've watched you for years and years and still get reminded that you are in our area. Best of luck pushing forward!
And there's thousands more like this family! 😢
What a wonderful story Seth! Thanks for going out and doing that!!
Thank you for continuing to cover this.
Lost our family home in Hurricane Ian. Sending good thoughts to everyone.
You are doing a great work here my friend! More than you can know.
God Bless you, Seth.
Wow, just wow.
Disasters bring out the best in people.
Thankyou to all the helpers ❤
Thanks for helping that mother and little baby on the way. Love your heart.
I live north of Asheville. I’ve helped in other areas, but I haven’t been to Swannanoa. It’s just awful. Thank you for helping.
Good people doing good things for good people !
Thanks for this seth, I know it’s not your normal content, But I am glad your helping out 👍
You're doing great work. And it's always so genuine. I hope everything works out there. Take care of yourselves!
Seth, you are a god send my friend! We all appreciate you very much.
I love the way that the guy there helping is wearing a cboystv shirt
Everybody helping are Amazing Humans , it's sad it takes these things to bring human spirit together . well done all

WOW! I am truly inspired by you, and well, everyone in the video! Thank you for showing us just how good folks can be!!
I have valley fever. Never goes away once you have it just lays dormant. Hope all those people get the help they need.
Wow!
So different from what's usually shown of America. Great to see so many people doing whatever they can for others.
You made me cry sir. God bless you.
God bless everyone involved in the recovery effort!
Wow, seems like yesterday you moved from Florida to NC, Keep up the good work, and the channel too. Stay Strong NC! You're a good man Seth.
Wonderful humans doing wonderful things for others. Truly shows the giving sprit
I lived there as well. It is jarring to see what it went through in virtual seconds.
You’re a good man Seth. Thank you from the U.K.
Thank you!!😇🙏 My allergies are flaring up watching this video.
Hello
Amazing! Also I spotted a Cboys shirt!
God bless you Seth and thanks for doing God's work. May God bless your family.
Thank you
I also used to live in Swannanoa. While I've seen video from Bee Tree Rd, I've seen nothing on Long Branch Rd. It can't be good.
