My favorite version. Everybody is on fire here. Terry's drumming, Ruth hammering away on the vibes and Frank's guitar is just soaring.
Zappa 65-74 = Pretentious era.
Prime Zappa groovin ostentatious era = Mid 75 - early 78.
March 78 - 80 = Sloppy Colai guitar off beat ,air sculpting era, aside from a few songs,Joe's Garage,etc.
80s was only a Zappa variation played down versions of the 70s.
Winning era = Bozzio era.
A world apart from the original version which has a totally different charm.
PRETENTIOUS FRANK 65- 74.
Groovin serious butt kicking ostentatious Frank mid 75-78.
I'LL STICK TO THIS ERA OVER ANY OTHER,AS HIS FINEST.Even stink foot version boston 76, is his best live version.
EVERYTHING after the Bozzio era was just a variation of everything he accomplished musically,.in this prime era.

I must admit, everytime I have seen Frank play, I felt not only during the show especially for his solos, like bowing and saying ' I am not worthy!!! I am not worthy!:!!!! I have never been to a concert whereas somebody made me feel that way. !!!! Harry connick junior, yes, Deep Purple, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny guitar Watson, Eric Burden, doesn't matter, so .any, ....Zappa kicks it!!!!!

Yeah, Frank is known for two basses, two drummers,. Way before Phil Collins, however, Chester Thompson from The Mother's eventually went on to pill Collins. Wherein there were also two drummers. And chester being the severely experienced one of this, had brought this unto the Phil era. Of his career. At that time.
I had to drag out the original from Uncle Meat. It’s always been intriguing that Frank would never play a composition the same way twice, but I couldn’t even remember the source material from this rendition. Lol!

Start with the mothers of invention. Uncle Meat album. Where I discovered it. Definitely an early version. When it comes to Frank, you'll never know the roots ,unless you do. It's an arduous process. However, before I digress, this version from Uncle Meat is an excellent reference to the roots of cruising for burgers. P.s. by the way, cruising for burgers is one of my favorite pastimes. You need to reference the source for your viewers, this of course is from the epic double live album "Live from New York". I send Zappa noobs to this album as a start point into the Zappa word of humor.

If you can provide documented evidence for that theory...because the lyrics (when present) don't support it...then that puts the title in the same category as Struttin' With Some Barbecue (which you've probably never heard of)

You must here the first original recordings and all versions, or it's not fair. Although this is a massive wailed out version, it's like ,....if you don't know you don't know. Research the history and hear the first couple of versions. With all due respect. You will appreciate the original first. You'll feel alot more burger cruising. For sure. After all, who whips a guitar into such a frenzy? Like angry chickens scampering about on a coal pit, in depraved abandonment?
