GRIEVING homeowner gets GARDEN RESTORATION- MOWING FOR MENTAL HEALTH

- This video is the beginning of this properties lawn and garden restoration.
Knocking on this lady's door and hearing her story I immediately knew this would be my next TH-cam project. The lady was shocked when I asked her if I could restore her surroundings.
This yard has not seen edges for some time. Hiding the beautiful house and rock garden edging were some very overgrown gardens.
Although the front yard was mildly overgrown, the large backyard is extremely overgrown and could possibly be one of my biggest clean ups to date.

The front garden looks so good now. You are a very thoughtful gardener. Rather than cut down shrubs and trees for no reason, and doing unnecessary hard pruning, you only remove the plants which could cause a problem to the home owner or neighbours. Plants are rescued and either reused elsewhere or revived and given another more suitable place in someone else’s garden. Creatures are rescued too and moved to safety. I love your garden ethics.
Agree.I hate it when some gardeners just hack away at every tree and plant they come across often traumatizing them so they never regrow or leaving the owner with zero privacy. Quick cuts aussie guy George has the same ethics too and does a good job.I could watch these channels all day

I agree with all those comments , plus the fact that you get in and weed the garden and don't just go over with the weed eater. I'm from NZ.
When my husband passed away, one of my friends came over and just did basic household chores like take out the trash, wash the dishes, water the plants, etc. That really helped me out a lot! Thank you for doing this for her!
I’m sorry for your loss of your husband farmgirl. This woman actually lost another family member about six years ago. They used to take care of the properties surroundings. It was really nice when I offered her this work. It reminded her of past the times.
What kind of mulch is it?
I think I've seen you use sugar beet plants, but that's light color.
Love seeing a gum tree. Have only heard of them in the children's song about a kookaburra!

Absolutely beautiful! So nice to see someone who will hand weed in a flower bed. Around here if they can't mow or use a weed whacker they won't bother. The mulch was the icing on the cake to dress up the beds.

Hi Tyler, I am so happy for you to be growing your channel enough to be able to afford the tools you need and provide extra for the homeowners gardens. The sky is the limit. Your hard labor and skills have been there all along and am glad you are now showcasing them. Was in a car crash Monday and although nothing broken was beaten up pretty bad by the air bags. Will be a while before I can get back to any physical work and wish I had someone as compassionate as you around here but I am telling myself it is only grass and weeds. I am alive. When I am depressed or upset it helps me to get my hands in the dirt and pull weeds or trim bushes.
I don’t know how old or if she has medical disabilities, keeping her inside her home.

I never thought of how similar the sounds of the traffic and waves sound so similar...interesting as their sources are not alike!
Anyway, I love your skill and care for the living things in the garden and yard. You always make sure everything will thrive after you leave.
I always feel that situations like this are not a coincidence...they are meant to be to benefit both parties. How lovely the garden and yard look. I pray this resident can find peace and soothing looking out at it and maybe working in it someday. Grieving is exhausting work, so I hope this lovely garden lifts some of the burden.

Very true I’ve lived in quite a few locations in my area over the years mostly alongside the highway that runs through all the towns.
I agree. I always have a fountain that runs off an inexpensive solar panel as well, and the combination of the water sounds and the traffic sounds helps blend it into white noise. Plus, birds seem to like moving water, especially when its hot.

It was a dark, chaotic and overgrown mess. When she arrived at home, all she saw was another burden. You transformed it into a tidy, orderly and peaceful visual. Hoping this helps settle her mind and heart.

It is uplifting for us viewers…. Can only imagine the benefits the owner got out of your hard work. Simply beautiful! I would entrust your judgment about what and how to approach the overgrowth! Your knowledge of plants, trees and shrubs is exceptional!!!! You WEED the beds and remove roots on everything possible which ensures that the volunteer trees and self seeded unwanted stuff won’t pop back up stronger than ever as it does after a “weed whipping” trim!
