- You've asked and we've answered! Proud to announce our Gen2 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT RIPP Supercharger system. Sporting a massive intercooler, larger piping, and upgraded calibrations, we've achieved over 600 horsepower to all four wheels!
Assuming 15% drivetrain loss (since it's an AWD system) puts you at a HAIR until 700HP at the crank... that is freaking awesome.
Yep, but we think it's more loss if you look at the before and after videos of these cars (comparing manufacturer advertised hp numbers). We're seeing 26+/- loss.

We are sorry to hear you have had an engine failure, the kit is properly matched to the engines ability to make power. Unfortunately the pistons Mopar selected for the 392 6.4 are hyperutectic and fragile. The RIPP provided tune has the power turned down to about 500AWD-HP with a threshold of 550. The kit however can produce 635AWD-HP as proven by many of our third-party vendors and installers. If your tuner Johan put too much timing in, in an effort to make more power, or if you had bad gas, this can cause detonation and you can easily have a piston give way. This is not just for our system, this is for all forms of boost in this engine using this piston.

Depends on the end game, we dial then in at 490-530 as a precaution on the stock pistons. Providing you always get great fuel they will run a long time with the wick down. If you turn the wick up just a set of piston will due, the rods are typically not an issue.

We typically do not post videos of us trashing on cars. By the numbers it's 3.4sec 0-60 11.8 quarter mile. This has been consistent with clients across the board.

How would this kit do in a canadian winter, -35 degrees Celsius ?
We have many supercharger kits running in Canada with our Wrangler program. In fact we even have a supercharger warmer now.

@RIPP do you require any crank shaft tapping like the ProCharger install? I read through that install manual and that was the only part that gave me indigestion about doing it myself over a long weekend...
Yes/No, It's part of the install steps and we provide all the hardware and tools to drill it. However, we have installed about a dozen without drilling and without issue. Mainly this is due to the fact that the Vortech we are using is very light on the crank load in comparison to all the competitors. The choice is ultimately up to you and the installing shop.

@@mrmike1296 yes, we have never needed it at out power levels, but they make a quality product.

Oystein F. Saebo Stock we've dyno'd the 6.4 to about 320 to the wheels. 20% Drivetrain loss is accurate. No 0-60 just yet, we'll be doing more videos with SRT very soon!

Oystein F. Saebo This 6.4 is on stock internals! Our kits are warrantied on defective parts for one year. Check out our vendor page on www.rippmods.com for our dealer listing. We have a bunch in California so which ever one is closest to you or suits you best.
RIPP Superchargers have you guys had any problems with the drivetrain? We are supposed to be building the new Grand cherokee Track Hawk later this year. The guys at Srt are having problems with exploding tranfer cases because the Hellcat motor they're putting in it keeps destroying them with all its torque.

What kind of dyno is this? What kind of numbers are to be expected from a mustang dyno?
This is a Dyno Dynamics LB450. Your best bet is to do a before and after.
i bought the stage 2 upgrade kit for my 2012 and it didn't come with the new BOV or air filter.

How has the engine held up? Any update on this?
The 6.4 holds up without issues. We've sold hundreds of these kits, almost all of them for daily drivers.
When will you come out with a 2016 version?
the hardware is about the same but the vehicles computer is different and has not been cracked yet. until then we cannot release product.

Stock internals, 6 psi, no other mods other than a supercharger and cat-back exhaust.

The 2016 engine has slight redesigns, we will likely see that mid 2017
I don’t hear the whine
The supercharger kit that we use is a V2 SQ model. This supercharger uses gears optimized to a helical profile, therefore making the supercharger quieter. If you would like the louder sound, we offer a heritage version of the supercharger. The heritage version creates more of that whine sound. This is on 91. We do not recommend going above the 600awhp area on a stock 6.4

How’s many lbs of boost to achieve 600 awhp?
We run 7psi for 600awdhp and 5psi for 560awdhp
RIPP Superchargers is it safe to run daily and regularly at 7 lbs with stock insides?
@@johnparia we run ours at 5psi daily and its where we release the kit and where we have always advised our clients to run. At those power levels 3.3 0to60 is common and it's very fast. Remember you are currently running 380to390awd-whp 560awd-hp it a huge jump and feels amazing. Additionally 560awd-hp is nearly 800 crank hp ... that's hellcat power with AWD or a very effective way to build a Trackhawk

am new to the srt world i just bought a jeep srt and i dont know anything about the engine limits
boost junkie The 6.4 has hyperutectic pistons and therefore there are limits. We've run them very successfully at 530 AWD-HP.
i feel stiffed with the 2016 3.6 cause you can do shit to it and if you can cant find a fuking thing to confirm if it actually works lol 😂 god damn it i want more out of it lol
