    Moving from the feet has the most balance, power, and control. But it's not always practical, sometimes you have to move from the hips, and sometimes you have to move from the head. But the best is to start your movement from as low to the ground as possible. Quick feet ALWAYS has to come from the feet. Quick head movement can be come from the feet or elsewhere in the body.

      In a single punch? Or a combination you mean? Usually all proper punch technique includes the feet.

    yeah my footwork in general isn't that good.. i'm going to buy this thing off of title boxing.com called everlast fast feet it's like this cord type thing you wrap around each of your ankles then you work on your footwork with it and what it does is teaches you to keep proper spacing between your feet when you move. like sometimes i'll move my front foot farther then by back foot and with this thing it gets you use to moving both feet the exact same distance or the string will break or something

  • @expertboxing

    Well, first off...any technique that makes you off balance or limits your mobility should seriously be questioned. As for tucking the chin, focus more on your face. As long as your face doesn't tilt to aim upwards at a diagonal, your chin is fine. Imagine that your face is facing the ground about 10 feet in front of you.

    i always get off balance when i'm on the balls of my feet

    • @tylerhuffman3866
      @tylerhuffman3866 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know it’s been 8 years but same here!! For me it’s because I’m flat footed with knock knees so I’ve done a lot of stretches and exercises to strengthen the arch under my foot and re align my knees. This saved my balance tremendously on the balls of my feet making me much more mobile

    You mean going down even while you walk forward or backward ,not just when you punch ,right?

    • @mustafarashad7353
      @mustafarashad7353 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      dor avraham You go down when you advance to increase the mass of your front side causing you to have a better balance. Same with going backward.

    This in not true you stay low not for balance but for agility and counters also if you stay siff you get tiered faster because you are one using your arms
