Quilcom has some great sim-Instruments. The hang drum, didgideroo, and others are great. He has a plug-in that lets you add formants (vowel sounds), and adding that to string sounds has made a really good sitar sound.
Triple cheese = highly underrated! I always forget that it exists ... Same with Mikro Prism; I actually even have the full Prism and should use it more often.
do any of these accept external audio input for excitation the way objekt does? i'm mostly intrested in physical modeling as a way to combine synthesis with physical percussionism to really perform and play these sounds in my "native language" insturmentally speaking. (contact mic on things)
nice. what are your thoughts on modo drums? I find it to be pretty dull sounding when I use, but I've heard videos where they've been very convincing, so perhaps I'm doing something wrong? Or they need processing that I haven't done
Hmm I haven't really warmed up to modo drums either... not really sure why. You could check out how I processed the free modo kit in this video: th-cam.com/video/zfxXGhcJQPE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JucIDtDsElgo00Vi
Its still pretty easy to get a Reason 11 lite licence from auction sites for around $40, with that you can then get Objekt for $99, And not have to get plus or pay $500 for the full DAW which dont include Objekt.
@@xantux oh yeah reaktor is not free. its just funny because it became half a meme and half a cult vst. erica synths is actually building a hardware version of steampipe right now.
i didnt really liked object, every sound reminded me of a cowbell for some reason. i still have some time in reason+ subscription. i actually liked the subscription. you get everything reason has to offer and always have the newest version. that said i left reason for ableton, propellerhead does nothing for edm producers and seems to focus on electric guitar, bass players and vocalists.
Quilcom is really a goldmine
Check out xoxos

Great vid, subbed. I appreciate the thought that went into this, the categorization etc. Thanks!
Thank you!
I am working on a website only featuring physical modelled plugins. There are more than it seems when activly looking for them.

what if the SIM GYIL was used on UR THE MOON/Different Day🤔
the way beardyman uses objekt is the only way i want to use it anyways but this is a great video

cant believe u didnt feature the mighty steampipe ;)
That's one of the stock Reaktor Instruments rigth? Maybe I have to revisit that, but it's not technically free to my knowledge 🤔

What are you using for the reverb
Most of the time I didn't add any reverb 🤔 you might be talking about Native Instruments Raum?
Exactly it is super wide almost a drone pad i can tell
Valhalla is a beauty reverb. and it’s free
check out M-theory by Ugo Audio, ignore the presets, use your ears, and its the closest thing to object / chromaphone IMHO.
I've slept on Mikro Prism for so long...
Not anymore! 😎

Nice Sweater haha
Another synth that does the same handful of instruments like every other reason synth.
Just buy the real instrument.
