Thank you for all the matches to watch MeatyKage. Question though, I thought any effects that state "when a card is removed from security" activate before a security digimon battle? From what I've been told, any security effects like option cards take place before, but security battles take place after. Looked like the rookie rush player did not draw from the Koromon egg because they wouldn't survive the battle, but they should still get that effect as long as it's not some security bomb.

​@@Rump1e4Sk1n39that's not entirely correct. If the Digimon with koromon as source is removed by a security option you don't get the draw. The effect triggers but since the Digimon is removed first by the option its not on the field and can't resolve

To clarify what others are saying
1. Security is checked
2. If an Option card or Digimon is revealed and it has a security effect it triggers now.
3. Any effects involving "when a card is removed from security" trigger now
4. If the security card was a Digimon the two Digimon battle.

I feel like if you're not used to control decks in any other game it could be challenging. It's pretty easy to spend too many resources recovering or removing small things instead of waiting for the right moment.

This sec con player runs Emperor? Thats some wild meta call local you must have because emperor is a pretty terrible trainer in sec con if you arnt playing rookie rush or Fenrilooga if they dont have a tamer yet. I dont think any other decks regularly pull out of raising at lv3 against Sec-Con.
I can understand if you want draw but there are def better cards for draw if thats what you want like Blackgato which is really strong against stuff like D-Brigade and Fenrilooga(and the sec-con mirror) because you bottom deck their combo pieces, count as a purple source, "only" cost 5, is a additional target for hellscythe besides MagnaAnge, and obviously is a Security digimon.
Not saying its bad in your local because its obviously pulling weight because someone at their local runs rookie rush but i just did not expect to see it because of its general MU applications.

A lot of rookies have start of main affects now so emperor forces your opponent to lose memory for a play or go up to lv4. Slows down yellow vaccines a lot

Has been a pretty common tech in seccon for several sets now. Really strong against beelz and hunters, and now really good against start of main rookies.

Like the other comments, it's been used technically since bt12 in an attempt to slow down beelze and hunters. It's very useful now with the advent of decks raising from rookie.
