A pretty nice set of finds, when you showed the variations in squares it reminded me of one of the quilts my grandmother and other family or neighborhood women would make by each contributing a square from their own leftover fabric stash, they would have a quilting party to sew them together and give to a new bride or new mother.
All of that stuff is really cool 😊 sounds like the lady who donated all the stuff just wanted to make a random person happy! That's so sweet! I love seeing people's squares. They all have a different touch
That smell does go away with a wash. Purple and white thing with handles is a back scrubber. I think it is neat to have things that are already made. I have gotten bags with started projects but not finished. So many things you can make with granny squares. Bags, blankets, poncho, I would make a blanket since you have so many squares already finished. Thanks for sharing what you bought.
Thanks so much! :) and boot cuffs would make a lot of sense. Plus the squares are probably meant for a blanket but I have a few different videos planned to use them in
Just watched this video amd though a few months old have 1 more tidbit of info for you! The angels with the holes at the top I believe are to go on a dish soap bottle to put a dress on the bottle (like Dawn). Hope you vot the smell out of the black yarn and were able to use it! Great haul and the note was so sweet! I like how you are so young and loving the crochet craft!
Thank you so much!! I think the dish soap cover explanation makes the most sense, so I really appreciate the comment! And the black yarn definitely smells a lot better after letting it sit out, so I can’t wait to use it! I really think crochet it great for all ages so I’m very happy to share it here on TH-cam!!
Little bits of yarn can be useful making accents and embellishments, pom-poms… sewing faces on amigarumis.. spelling?. Teddy faces, etc! Embrace the scraps, too!! ❤️❤️❤️
Great goodwill finds! I'm a crocheter and knitter. I don't know what the springy things are but I can tell you about stitch holders. In knitting, you sometimes need to put a certain number of stitches on a holder (such as a sleeve opening on a sweater) and reattach yarn to those live stitches to later complete whatever that part of the pattern it was.. Oh, that purple and white thing is a back scrubber for the shower and those coaster looking things are most likely face scrubbies. And the doll skirts might be yarn cake holders but not sure on that. :)
Wow! Very useful information, thank you! And I’m pretty sure you’re right on what some of the items are because it makes more sense than what I was saying lol! Thanks so much :)
They definitely could be. I think they would be the right size for that. My grandma also used to make them so I’m surprised that didn’t come to mind for me
The unlabeled thing you can not identify are old style stitch holders have not seen them since I inherited my grand mother's. They are great for holding garment stitches while working on another shoulder.
Pop the skeins into a lingerie washing bag some white vine gar to the wash… hope for the best.. it might get the smell out… I’d wash it alone because of the smell and because it’s black… good luck! Great finds!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You are so dang adorable! I have kids that are older than you and I am late night crocheting for my first craft fair on Sunday! You really got some sweet deals!!! Oh and by the way I am going to SUBSCRIBE!! I went to the Goodwill and Salvation Army today and I got a huge gigantic bag of yarn for $14 and it’s the super nice extra bulky five and some other miscellaneous things!😊
Aw thank you so much!! 🥰 Good luck at your craft fair and you got a great deal there! I’ve never been able to find bulky yarns at any of my local thrift stores and I use a lot of them!
Addi knitting needles are expensive and from Germany. My mother would only use Addis. I wonder if someone was part of a Granny Square swap and decided to not use all of them for their final project.
Katie..... DO NOT... THROW ANYTHING AWAY.... you can use and reuse everything in yarn world.....even stuffing little works of amigurumi...... you’ll learn.........
I actually do keep my yarn scraps for stuffing! I just mentioned throwing away that one little piece of yarn because it seems pointless to wash that little tiny piece and I wouldn’t want to us to without washing it since it did come from goodwill
What did y’all think of the stuff I found? Have you ever found anything like this from a thrift store? Let me know!
No I don't find that stuff that close to me. There is one far off from me. I heard they have found yarn there. Not able to to it because cov19.
Oh, well hopefully you can get there soon if you want because I think it’s super fun
@@redneckcrafter2346 I have a Salvation Army close to me
Your bag storage looks like a back scrubber??
I believe it is!

It is so sweet! It definitely made me super happy! And seeing all the different squares was so cool, I love all the different colors and styles
@@katiebeingcreative I love the cell phone holders myself
They are super cute!
@@katiebeingcreative I know right
That's a back scrubber (lavender and white). Definitely want to see what you decide to make with the granny's.
That purple and white thing looks like a back scrubber! 😁
That is what I thought it was too
I’m pretty sure it is! For some reason I just couldn’t think of that in the moment
@@katiebeingcreative I just need to find a tutorial on how to make them now, lol 😂
Lol! I have no idea to tell you where to even start cause I’ve never made one
You are so sweet Katie! I love it that you treasure the little note that accompanied the loofah and soap holder! That's a great haul!!
Thank you so much! :) and it was a great haul, can’t wait to do more in the future
I am surprised ! Goodwill lately price items higher! You were blessed to find Thais items at such a low price- have a blessed day🌸
Totally! I was surprised to find prices like this as well!! And thank you so much, you as well! 🥰
I love finding crochet in the wild!
Yes me too!

thank you for the info :)
I believe the things you are calling doll skirts may be boot cuffs. I think the bag of squares may be patches for a blanket. You are too cute
Thanks so much! :) and boot cuffs would make a lot of sense. Plus the squares are probably meant for a blanket but I have a few different videos planned to use them in

some of the granny squares are cute :) if you have 24 granny squares you can make a cardigan :)
Little bits of yarn can be useful making accents and embellishments, pom-poms… sewing faces on amigarumis.. spelling?. Teddy faces, etc! Embrace the scraps, too!! ❤️❤️❤️
Yes! All good ideas ❤️
The circle thingies might make a cute garland joined together… ❤️❤️❤️
You are so sweet. I’m happy to have found your Chanel. I can’t wait to watch more!! ❤️❤️❤️
Aw thank you so much!!
The white and purple thing with the handles that’s a back washer
They had such beautiful pieces of art in their granny squares
Definitely!!

@@katiebeingcreative They are stitch holders by the way
I thought so but wasn’t sure
Could the doll skirts be toilet paper covers? My grandmother used to have some. It’s hard to tell the size on the video.
They definitely could be. I think they would be the right size for that. My grandma also used to make them so I’m surprised that didn’t come to mind for me
That is a great idea for a video to show the completed project with the squares.
Thank you, already planning that video!
I love this!!!!!!! The note is the cutest ❤️ I would have wanted to cried too!!! Hahaha I love this!
Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️ It was really so sweet and I was so glad to have found that little note
A granny square sweater would be cute! ❤️❤️❤️
Totally!
Your right they are stitch holders and the other spring things are also stitch holders!
Oh thanks so much! I would’ve never known that
The unlabeled thing you can not identify are old style stitch holders have not seen them since I inherited my grand mother's. They are great for holding garment stitches while working on another shoulder.
That’s awesome! Thank you so much for letting me know!
It’s a back scrubber for the shower!
New sub would love to see the granny square project
Welcome to the channel!! :)
Your "dog toy" is probably a back loofah thing for the shower.
That makes so much more sense! 😂
That's what I thought too!
I’m pretty sure that’s what it is, I don’t know what I was thinking lol

Oh wow I never knew anything about Addi knitting needles. And that could definitely be the case for the granny squares.
You put the stitches that you won't been used for a while. You put them in that holders and come back later to work it later.
That’s what I thought but I wasn’t completely sure. Thanks for the info!
Back scratcher
The purple and white thing is a back scrub.
That makes a lot more sense than a dog toy 😂
@@katiebeingcreative It does look like a dog toy
It does lol
I might go to the Salvation Army tomorrow.
Hopefully they have some good stuff there!
@@katiebeingcreative They might though. If I do go I will send you pictures of what I find

I’m in the Tampa Florida area! :)

A angel dish cloth
That’s kinda what I was thinking but again wasn’t sure lol
