This is a great prototype. And I love the portability. Definitely putting this one on my list for purchase when it is available. Thanks for continuing to provide great tools to the spinning community!
Thanks so much for sharing this video. The fold looks fantastic. I'm really looking forward to being able to order one. Thanks so much for sharing your creativity with the spinning world!
After playing with my Nano2 for a while, I just ordered an EEW 6.1 Now I see this and I'm like... "OMG, I'mma hafta buy this one too! I love it!" My next eSpinner will be an EEW Fold... I await it's release with anticipation!
This might be an annoying comment, but I think it would be SO cool to have a simple auto-winder mechanism, such as the Spinolution auto-winder or similar.
The current plan is not to do this. My beta testers all said they wouldn't put the flyer in that location very often so the increased size wouldn't be justified. But it is a question I'm constantly reevaluating.
@@MarieMitarotondo It won't fit at the same time the battery is there. I think that should be fine because the battery is easy to take out and since you are already taking time to fold the EEW Fold the extra time to take out the battery is minimal.
@@DreamingRobotsBlogI think it would be nice to be able to fit the flyer with the hooks and the battery all together. The flyer is one of the most delicate parts, and I don't see the point of having a folding machine at all, if the flyer is not protected in transport (including hooks of course). I wonder what the beta testers meant, because it seems like the flyer would be going in there every time you fold it up to take it with you? I like my Nano but I *really* wish my battery could just live inside, and I could just plug into that instead. Without rubber bands holding it onto the bottom. I do realize it's asking a lot. If you could get the flyer, with hooks, and the battery inside, and not have to run a cable back outside to the power jack, I think it would really improve the user experience and seem less prototypy. Perhaps the magnetic bottom trays could stack, and be sold separately in addition, and we could add as many as we want for accessories like the flyer and bobbins. Maybe they could attach to the top too and serve as an optional cover. Best!
What a great portable spinner! I like that the flyer fits into the bottom and the rpm display is awesome. Will be looking forward to the release. Thank you for sharing the update.
The new design is great, especially with the flyer fitting in the bottom case. I am really looking forward to seeing (and buying) the final product.
Love the hooks! Love the magnets!! Love the rpm display!! Can’t wait to get mine!!!!
Hi Maurice, thankyou for sharing this update . Xx

Really great modifications since the last one - can't wait to order mine as well!

This looks great. With the faster speed it would be perfect for cotton.
Super excited to see where this design goes!! 😍
looking good so far! i'm excited to hear what the testers think!
This is just the coolest travel spinner!!
Why not hand the base magnets so the base and top will only engage with the correct orientation?
That's a good idea. I'll probably do that.
That is looking *so good*!

Wow…I think I’ll definitely want one..
Wooooow….this is so super cool!!!
Wow! You are so clever!
I like this design very much. Why the smaller bobbins? I really enjoy the larger Bobbins of the EEW 6.1. Thanks for all you do!
The smaller bobbin allows a smaller flyer. This allows me to spin the flyer faster and reduce the price.
Looks great.
I am going to need one of theses. Thank you for sharing!
This is so cool! Looking fantastic!
❤perfect!
Amazing
I love this design. It’ll make storage much easier. Will you be a to get different colors?

You are amazing. How am I going to decide which one I need?...want?
This looks fantastic! What is the folding mechanism made of? Will it be metal? Wondering what the wear and tear would be like after a while?
The flyer arms are made from a durable plastic and the hing pin is a metal bolt.
That looks great! Will the flyer still fit into the bottom when the hooks are attached?
The current plan is not to do this. My beta testers all said they wouldn't put the flyer in that location very often so the increased size wouldn't be justified. But it is a question I'm constantly reevaluating.
@@DreamingRobotsBlog Does the flyer fit into the bottom when the battery is there? Or are they two different storage spaces?

@@DreamingRobotsBlog I didn't think it would; just trying to get a visual in my head. Thanks.

It would be nice to see it doing what is is designed to do - wind a cone of yarn.
This one is a spinning wheel, not a cone winder.
It’s looking great!

Wow!
Excited to se this one come to fruition! Will it be a kickstarter again?
Maurice mentioned doing a Kickstarter in the video.
Do you think the Fold will be able to handle art yarn?
It should work about as well as the EEW 6.1 with art yarn except that the bobbins are half the size.
How can I become a tester?
Sorry, I have all the testers I need at this time.
@@DreamingRobotsBlog I understand. It looks like a great spinner, I’m looking forward to it!
