I'm like that also, wanting to clean it alone. But I go through so much pain now it's hard to do it all and finish alone. So I've had to learn to take everyone's help and just be super clear on how I want it done. I'm so grateful my boys and husband try and help but they understand how I clean. I'm passive with their play room but then it gets bad. I've actually been putting it off. I need to do it and keep in them about it. Since putting their toys in a different room their room stays clean now. It's so much better. And I have sections for all their toys. Their problem is they don't put stuff back where they got it from. It just gets paved in the middle of the room and I don't go in there so I don't voice it till I have a reason to go in there. But we're working on it.
You guys did a really good job. Thank you for being honest about the mess. I like watching videos where people are honest because most houses are not spotless and look like model houses. We all have messy houses most of the time especially if you have kids. Thank you.
Making kids beds, especially bunk beds, is the bane of my existence 😂 I have 4 boys and I often just do it myself. It’s so hard to get them all together at once to clean and I need to do better.
Wow, what a great mom. Well done and good parenting. Apparently, it was not too late, if your son had fun and was up to learning. Control, oh I hear ya! And I agree with your mom's advice. We don't want them to get used to "my mom will get that." Having said that, fighting over cleaning? One may have a clean house, but at what cost. Imho 💜
I relate to this so much. Especially the control problem when it comes to cleaning. It’s really hard to let go, but then I started thinking about it as pre-cleaning. Kind of like maintenance or like kids pre-clean rooms in the house and then later on, when I get to it, it’s not as bad.❤
