tips: reverse ur book covers so they hide colour. reverse literally everything now that i think abt it. reverse ur brightly coloured blankets to show off the white/neutral coloured side. draw accent to dark wood. redecorate with wall art. go to the library and print stuff for free. make it messy, but not too messy. a clever person once said “diy or die”

its not just an "aesthetic". this is real life. ive been in a big old castle looking house in london before. you will never know what its like to sit alone, in a library, with a chandelier above your head, not just listening to music, but being actual dark academia. dark academia is more than a couple of photos on your wall and taking videos of things with filters. just so you know "aEsThETic gIRLs"
I've noticed most of the dark academia tik tok's are girls (which is totally fine they look amazing) and its kind of brings a bitter sweet taste to me. I really like this aesthetic, but I don't know if I'll ever find a guy who's into it too. (Btw I'm a bi dude if your wondering)
