Fantastic explanation, man. Very understandable. I'm just beginning to understand and trust the feeling of moving the focucal point towards the place you described.
dude, you are by far the best harsh vocals coach on youtube I've watched! and I watched pretty much everything. you and Cardavox academy are the sole reason I'm making progress. thanks for doing what you are doing!
One thing beginners should know is that there's only so much you can do with your voice. All different kinds of screams and distortion have different nuances, but they all feel pretty similar and it's not something you haven't felt before. If you've ever stubbed your toe or yelled at your siblings, you've felt it (you just didn't realize it). Everyone can do it. It's just a matter of finding that feeling and training those muscles to hold onto it and fine tune the sound. There isn't some secret magic technique that trains your voice to do something unnatural My point is don't go straining yourself to find some crazy position in your throat that doesn't feel right. It should feel pretty normal if you're doing it right
Hilariously, I've been trying to learn frys for a while now and clicked this video and before you even explained anything it clicked. Your presence alone helped me
Oh MAN! You are a true superhero❤! This was the first time I managed to determine whwre do fry should come from! I have been trying for more than 2 years withouth succes, but it's ower now! It's not perfect yet, but it's not a lost cause! Thank you! You can't even imagine how grateful i am to you! 💝
i'm happy that you found something helpful and made progress - awesome! If you ever record something during practice or have questions, feel free to write to me anytime - I will do my best to help :) xvocalcenter@gmail.com
I was told by a previous vocal coach that I should move the sound toward my front upper nasal area. Does this work as well or is further back as you're suggesting a better position?
How can i sing korn twist. Whoever I ask says fry scream at, but when I try to make fry scream, the sound doesn't sound right to me. How can I sound like I'm vomiting
I'm having trouble moving the sound up and back. You mentioned increasing compressiom and support. I can do compression on a clean note, but whenever I try that on my fry the sound just stops😢
By odd coincidence, I was just given an enormous box of wine corks. Good timing.

Thank you for inspiring me ❤
Awesome 🤘🎤
never heard of this method, i might test this in some of my coaching sessions

I think that it can be the same or almost the same position. I feel it somewhere between the soft palate and the entrance to nasal cavity.
@sibilaextremevocal thanks for clarifying! It's a really useful technique.

From my understanding, the Korn "Scat" is based off of false chords. Not a full on false chord scream, but false chord engagement

If fry disappears, it can mean that your vocal folds tighten too much.

Rozważam stworzenie nowego kanału tylko po polsku, ale najpierw muszę ogarnąć inne, bardzo pilne sprawy.
