I've been in a relationship not marriage for 3 years now and it gets better every day. Marriage is just a stupid concept. Being a supportive partner is golden.
Why didnt they just have long distance relationships? only seeing them 1 week a month, when you get married become a truck driver or an airline attendant, some thing that keeps distance
SA, ALSO KNOWN AS R🦍 tricking a person into bed with a disguise is felony assault of a sezzual nature. That’s what the episode is about, assault is repulsive indeed
No, she can alter the senses of others, including their own species, in order to appear a certain way to them. At the end she was able to change into the ideal woman that Roy described, because he was nearby. It was easier for the movie to make her have a fixed look, rather than using the monster make-up in order to simulate how she looked in reality and how everyone perceived her.
Norman kinda dodged the bullet by going insane, I mean at least he was only married for about a year, she didn't take half of everything, and he didn't have to see any cellulite, although no amount of makeup and instagram filtering could've helped in the long run.
That episode's message flies over the head of most men who watch it, including the man who is explaining it. The message is that most men choose women primarily for how they look and pay little attention to anything they say or do. This was why it was easily for the aliens to fool these superficial, egotistical, homely men into marrying them. Worse, as the episode demonstrates, even if the man is butt ugly, has zero charm and is far from well off he still thinks that he deserves a woman who looks like a model, and therefore those men usually aim for women who are way out of their league, to the man's frustration and bitterness. THAT is what the episode is really all about.
Or it could be a woman outer appearance isn’t her actual appearance. She can be sexy and hot however her real self is a monster who treats you like shit and doesn’t actually love you. Don’t let her outer appearance trick you from her inner soul or her inner spirit.
The Outer Limits was part of my early teenage years. I remember this episode and the one where the alien abducted a neighborhood to see if earth was suitable for living. One of the human abductee caught a virus and the rest of the human decided to get infected to fool the aliens that earth wasn't suitable.
I think the smell would have been apparent from the get go to somebody who is blind. In the show the first thing he notices about his wife is an off odor and taste.
Well yeah, apparently she has to also "turn off" her partner's taste and smell as well as his sight. These creatures hit the trifecta of disgustingness! Oh, and then there's the slimy goop they're covered in which also glops and squishes when these critters move. Seems then that they are offensive to all 5 senses - sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing.
@@1dirkmanchestoh yeah, that's right! Forgot he was in that! I found his final scene and dialogue so powerful that it stuck with me long after watching the movie. As Emperor Palpatine snarled to Luke: "You have paid the price for your lack of *_vision!_*
I feel bad for all those men that died. But crash landing on a planet and confessing to being an alien that is ugly may give most men a mental beak down. I know that when you see something ugly or scary it may trigger a fight for flight response. Since the aliens can only fool people for a year why even get married? Personally I don't think I want an alien wife. I think I would rather have good health and live alone.
1:30 that's Michelle Johnson from *Blame it on Rio* isn't it? Also: is anyone realizing that the creatures can only change their visual appearance? It appears they can brainwash their mate into believing they are feeling a normal human body, but they have to actively concentrate. That is why when Matt Frewer licks her neck, he tastes something slimy and bitter.. her natural body. I agree with *drflat* below: the underlying moral of the story is how the magic and lust of a relationship wear off after a year or so, and even if the person is good you still find them physically repulsive.
How is this different from an actual human women. They hide behind make-up, fake hair, fake nails, and smell of over used gagging perfume. Take all of that away and medusa awaits. So...was that the point of this episode?
