This fooled me a few times, but usually, when Dan grabs the mic, heavy metal growling or high screams are soon to follow! Love this. Grabbing the mic is his trademark for delivering epic power moments. He produces all his own videos. I'm sure he lays down tracks, but you can see he is in performance/delivery mode and moments for the videos. Its a beautiful microphone with less than stellar points, but he rocks it regardless

I've heard others talk about that microphone with exactly those sentiments. Still...it seems to be Dan's favorite one, so far, and it hasn't cost him any subs. He has done three "Ask Dan Vasc" videos. I think he planned to do more, but in reality, he got very few questions, and he only did the three, which is too bad, because I think if he had kept going with them, it would have been interesting to see changes that happened over time. The first one talks about the mics he has used before (he hadn't gotten to the red one yet), and why he used them. He also explains that he DOES sing the tracks live, and why. Some of the songs like this one, were done during the "crud" days, and they did like Home Free did, and did collabs that were overlaid.
