    The way these guys have jelled over interviews is impressive. George definitely learned where to fill in when Sean starts rambling on about nothing.

      Seans spelled out basically every move he's made before he's made them in those rants about nothing lol. Just gotta be able to pick up on it

    I’m happy with our draft haul. Moving forward we will be able to get some more picks. The ability to maneuvers more up or down gives us a better chance in getting our players who can contribute.

    Denver rocked the draft. A+
    I hope Nix is THE guy. I really think he can be Denver's first ever drafted SB winning QB.

    Tape this to yer fridge: Troy Franklin will far exceed anything Jerry Jeudy could have been with Denver. Troy is not a prima donna and brings a tremendous work ethic to the team -- not to mention great hands and all that speed!

      @MarkLewis-l3f 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't know about the great hands...he had a 10% drop rate last year...but I hope you're right. However...can you name the last Oregon WR that turned into a star in the NFL?

    • @kapalua7
      @kapalua7 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MarkLewis-l3f Watch his film from the past two years. The drops were meaningless. He consistently makes tough catches. Your second question is irrelevant.

    • @MarkLewis-l3f

      @@kapalua7 Meaningless? Irrelevant? Eh...they're far from either. A 10% drop rate is not "meaningless", it's what will wind up getting him benched or cut in the NFL. The question about Oregon is relevant because certain offensive systems do not translate well to the NFL.
      A few years ago Denver drafted a RB from Oregon, Royce Freeman. He was a 230 pound freight train in college, rushing for over 5600 yards, 60 TDs & nearly 6 yards a carry with three 1000 yard seasons & one in which he barely missed. Despite this, he was a failure in Denver & was beaten out by a 180 pound UDFA. Why? I part because his college stats in Oregon's spread offense were artificially inflated. The defenses were geared to stop the pass, which allowed Freeman to face light defensive fronts. He was not the power running bell cow he appeared to be.
      I don't know if Franklin makes it or not, hopefully so. Let's not pretend that things like dropping passes for receivers has no meaning. That's ridiculous. What I noticed a lot about Franklin, is that he caught a lot of balls when he was WIDE open & didn't have to contest with defensive backs in close coverage. That will not be the case in the NFL.

    You bring an adult in to run the draft and good things happen. What a difference with Sean Payton making the calls. Although the franchise was hurt badly under the management of Joe Ellis, John Elway and George Paton, we can now see a shorter path to respectability. Expecting that the old model of developing a young QB will return and Denver will no longer give up early and be caught sifting through NFL QB trash bins. (Zach Wilson won't be our starter and could be an outstanding backup.) Really, really important to run with Bo Nix for at least three years to see what he can be. I don't believe CJ Stroud is an outlier. Teams just have to give the rookies a chance and not panic if things don't go well initially. Denver has the luxury of time with this rebuild. Let Peyton and Nix work this!

      Yea, that Elway group, with two Super Bowls and a ring...that was despicable.
      I actually have high hopes for Nix, but picking a QB is not guarantee!!! Just ask the Jets, Browns, Bengals, Cardinals, Bears, 49er's, Chiefs, Raiders, Chargers, Patriots, Bills, Dolphins, Giants... For Sean Payten, the next rookie QB that he develops will be his first!!!
