He should have gone to a professional wildlife center (or trained individual) where they either train to return to the wild or decide it is too late (or permanently unable) and place him with a sanctuary. We have those persons in every state. Always call the State or Local wildlife officials when you have or see in need wildlife that needs care. So they can make sure when they are returned to the wild they will survive.

Actually the fox Born in forest and he came to the home his own. That means when he knew the route and can walk his own. He was a little bit grown at that time.
