Trains at Haywards Heath, BML - 8/12/18

- Welcome to the latest episode of Big Trip! Today I am at Haywards Heath on the Brighton Main Line where services are seen by Southern, Gatwick Express and Thameslink who are all brands of Govia Thameslink Railway the TOC.
Haywards Heath is an amazing station with some pretty nice views of the nearby tunnel heading towards Brighton. The station also has some very nice passes from Gatwick Express and a pretty good night time feel. The variety on show was good and also we saw some detaching going on here as trains to Eastbourne, Ore and Littlehampton all divided here and headed on their routes. There were no real negatives to say about this station, it had a very nice feel to it and is a station I'll return to.

Nice one Kieran. The 12 car Class 387 early in the video the middle set was 387212 so effectively (387211, 387212 and 387209) but it was a challenge seeing the numbers especially the GX passers as the wind picked up and the light start to fade.

Good vid Kieran. Not many people doing night videos either. I used to live in Burgess Hill between 1970 and 1984. Can always remember there being fast trains going straight through Haywards Heath. Have they stopped doing them now cos there’s none in this video?
Haywards heath is like Broxbourne station, when the 700's go to platform 1, it clears the Gatwick Express passing through like Stansted Express to Stansted Airport and Gatwick Express head to Brighton and even though they're triple lots of Gatwick Express so it's hard to get numbers from the train Kieran because is night time so it's going to turn even darker as it be and also nice sparks from the train and is too much light because I'm going to be blind from the light of the train lol 😂

Does any Gatwick express actually stop here in Haywards heath
Yes they do during peak hours, most of them just pass though.
@@KTVTransport if they stop to Haywards heath, is a southern service not Gatwick Express. The Gatwick Express should pass thought all station to Gatwick Airport and London Victoria only.
