180114 Great Horned Owl: How's the Nest Now, Dear?

Great Horned Owl male dropped by a bit earlier to ask mate to come check out the nest. Female arrives. The male arrived soon after and shows off the nest.
She tries out the nest when male goes up to perch. During her tryout, the two are talking to each other. The male returns back to the nest when female flies up to the perch. He makes some changes, but she flies off during it.

Idk what they are saying, but i have a hawk that's been hunting my bird feeder.. so I played this on bluetooth speaker from my window last night for a few mins hoping to ward the hawk off. However, my husband thought i left it playing bc when he woke up this morning he could hear a owl so he went outside to retrieve the speaker but instead it was a real owl!!! 🤣🤣🤣
