We are going to experience a strong storm (typhoon) according to the weather bureau. Some of us are anxious. Listening to this portion of the symphony and the Shepherd's hymn has a calming effect and a sense of hope that helps alleviate our anxiety. Thank you for posting.
This is such an artistic and tasteful presentation of Beethoven´s "Pastoral" Movement, Symphony # 6 . Mr. R.M. Panlilio aids in the appreciation and publicity of Beethoven´s genius for uplifting our souls to the majesty and grandeur of both nature and music on the canvas painted by God !
The first time that I heard the Shepherd's Hymn was rather unique. I was doing my National Service in 1951 at the RAF Station Ismailia in what was then the Canal Zone of Egypt. One of my friends, who was in the same billet as I was, began to whistle it and it caught my musical imagination. It wasn't until much later that I heared an orchestral performance of it and it has been a perpetual favourite ever since.
That is such a unique experience that I'll hope to recapture it when I enter the US Navy. I'll just play it on my ocarina until someone recognizes the tune, or asks me about it. It's truly an exalting piece of music.
I had just written a title for a composition I've written yesterday and I decided to write the title onto TH-cam to see if someone has already made something by the name of my piece. By now you've probably figured out that the title was Shepard's Song...
This was the first lullaby my darling daughter heard, 18 years ago today.
This tune was my first experience of Beethoven and I was completely captivated.
Same here
Same here!
Me too ..Did you hear it from the advert-Tweed?
Wonderful way to get exposed to his music

I played this in high school but had to arrange this for the saxophones which was fun but it sounded really great
Wonderful ❤️
would be honored. It will be the first star you see each night.
This part of the piece reminds me of a sunrise.
Or a sunset… or autumn when the harvests come in..
One of my all time favorite and you picked an amazing background to go with this amazing tune.
A mellifluous masterpiece.
Gratitude, set to music.

When I hear this music I think of "Näcken" (A Norse folktale being) playing his fiddle or even key-harp.
Very very enjoyable upload.
