I'm not really an animator, but the part where you talk about where you decided to take the rest of the fight scene really stood out to me. You take lots of care when picking out what looks comedic, what looks too dark, and what looks like too much, and you did a great job finding the right balance of all of them. :)
I think that video is the PERFECT blend of action and comedy that very much defines the purpose of brickfilms, at least in my humble opinion. I‘m so glad you made this one a little longer than your typical videos and it didn‘t end at the doors of Theodens hall. Well done sir!
Question for the Master: "How do you keep yourself sane when you make mistakes? I know a lot of people have the greatest of ideas for Stop Motions but they always seem to fail whenever then make a single mistake, how do you surpass that?"
Mistakes used to cost me hours of work, but I've figured out how to avoid most of the big ones, and how to fix the little ones. It's been years since I've made a mistake that actually cost me an entire shot.
I didn't know this scene from the film but i still found you video incredibly funny! The slap stick humour is great and the animation and all the other elements are so amazing
You're a wonderful animator, my friend, using wonderful comedy as well as excellent fight choreography. I dare say this is past The Lego Movie quality! Keep up the good work!
Wow I haven’t been on your channel in a while because I thought you only made stuff for the LEGO group but wow I’m glad I checked it! This is really inspiring me to get my video that I’m working on done!!!
Loved it as always. Can you maybe make tutorials about using green screen in stop motion and the perfect light setup for the green screens as well. And maybe some cool after effects tutorials/ breakdowns of your comp. Layers?
What is that would holding up your figures and objects in flight? I love your videos, even though I haven't gotten into LOTR yet. These tutorials are really cool and helpful for a beginner like me! Keep at it, you're awesome!
Hi BrotherhoodWorkshop you are such an inspiration to me and have been for many years. I adore your videos and hope to be able to animate like you in the future. I hope you are staying safe and doing well. One quick question, what's the best thing to hold up your characters e.g lego bricks/wire/putty. Thank you
Hi there, with this fight scene the fluidity is just amazing and the camera work really sells the impacts, did you do this digitally, or move your camera on set and add the motion blur?
I typically write up some notes, but I don't even have a full script before I start animating, just ideas jotted down. I don't usually draw up anything unless I need to communicate to someone else.
Could be the entire process: coming up with ideas, storyboarding, animating, and post production, or just in depth on animation techniques. Anything along those lines would be cool to see.
where did you find the lotr lego :'( you lucky bastard, also i'm curious about what you used to make stop motion, i have some sw lego kits and would love to try that xD
The coolest thing about this is that not only is he still into lotr but he is also into Skyrim. This guy knows what's good.
Imagine if Bethesda made an Elder Scrolls style game set in Middle Earth.....
Definitely my kind of game. Imagine designing your race...
@@BrotherhoodWorkshop Ever heard of The Lord of the Rings Online, known as LOTRO for short among it's players?
@@galacticstarlightlego12 Yup! not really an MMO guy though
@@BrotherhoodWorkshop Right, I forgot that only one Skyrim game is MMO.
For some reason I think of them as MMO.

Love how nobody noticed that You used Cassian Andor head for Aragorn, and it fits pretty nice
Wanted that smirk :)
I noticed it too, used it for my custom before I saw BrotherhoodWorkshop use the same head
LordOf TheBricks - Hey, Man. I love your Shadow of Mordor video. It's very underrated. Keep up the great work. 👍👍
I think that video is the PERFECT blend of action and comedy that very much defines the purpose of brickfilms, at least in my humble opinion. I‘m so glad you made this one a little longer than your typical videos and it didn‘t end at the doors of Theodens hall. Well done sir!
Dose anyone else watch his behind the scenes videos, while making your own animation?
Yes I do
I'm doing it now
Yesss
Yes
I am rn
I have mad respect for people who make stop motions. I don't have that kind of patience haha
I understand, it takes so much time!

Nice to see the Isengard shot got reused from an old video. Good memories from all your videos!
Why do the same thing twice :)
How did you make the blood and where did you get all the weapons from
This was an incredible video and I love to see a good behind the scenes video. 😄
It was very cool hearing your creative process for making these, the end result sure turned out nice!
Yes!!! Behind the scenes!!!
The fight scene has better choreography than the Star Wars sequel trilogy, and Brotherhood Workshop made it up as he went, such creativity
I love your behind the scenes
This video has helped me a lot though the past few years.
Awesome vid, great to see you making videos again!!!
Now for rath, now for ruin... and Jerryyyyy!!!!!!
I really loved this episode! Keep up the good work!
I love these kind of animations and bts vids
That graveyard sure is happy. Thanks for this video.
What you are doing, it is what I dream of doing. By the way you are AMAZING!!
Who do you get to do your voices? You’re Gandolf voice is perfect. How do you do that?!
Gandalf is a professional VO artist named Piotr Michael. He is very generous and helps me out sometimes :)
BrotherhoodWorkshop thanks. I was wondering how you did all those amazing voices. I’m sure you do some of them to.
How did you make the blood and where did you get the weapons from
@@georgejohnson9770 i am pretty sure the blood is just red clay, and for the Weapons, its just Weapons from lotr and Hobbit lego sets i assume
You are awesome
0:28 I love how Gandalf winks at Aragorn :D
0:10 Gotta love Bad Lip Reading
they're so funny
49 times we faced that beast... :D

Hey just a question, what methods do you use to hold down your scenes, ex: clay, tape or weight?
Clay usually, sometimes tape.
Also poster putty
BrotherhoodWorkshop Awesome thank you :)
I use double sided tape under my baseplates
And sometimes clay
i JUST LOVE your behind the scenes, they are so inspiring and helpful! Thanks a lot 😇.
I love your behind the scenes stuff I'm just a huge fan and just seeing your process is just amazing to me.
Such brilliant person.
You sir, are Just freaking Genius!
More thought and creativity than the red room fight in TLJ
Great job!! You’re behind the scenes videos are crazy awesome!! All the work invested into a 2 minute video is crazy! Keep up the great work!!😀
I absolutely love how you made the grunt (who lost his hair) blink in one shot!
Actually the staff infection pun at the end is what made me realize that the staff only sign meant people who work here
I love this
Love this I do
Little things in life can lead to big ideas
cool to see what dos into making the best lego animations out there!
Wow I have seen all your videos and try to learn things of your tutorials you have help me a lot with my stop motions thanks

THE BEST lego stopmotion TH-camr in the world!
Dude you are really good at this. I wish I was as good at stop motion animation as you are.
You're work is so inspiring!!!
Nice I love your videos
You made up the choreography on the spot? Impressive.
When you’re sitting with a shot for 12 hours, you have a lot of time to think “who should do what next”
Most impressive!
Dude you're one of my favorite artists ever.
Keep making more videos please!
This is so awesome great job man
This was a really funny and well made one!
Thanks!! Great to watch! Looking forward to the technical part!
Awesome work!
Awesome!!
Very nicely done
Wow 320 likes with no dislikes great job! We love you
I love to see how you make your videos.
I watched the Gandalf fight with the Benny Hill theme in the background. Try it.
Very cool. 👍
Hmm very neat ngl
Loved this video 👍
My favourite part was Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli handing over their multitude of weapons. Clearly those three have a magic satchel on them.
LOVE IT!!
This video is great, especially to someone who makes stop motion videos myself
Epic
Awesome
It's amazing!
Are you excited about the Amazon series? And do you hope they make more sets because of it.
For jerry for jerry give me free mercy
Oh man that Brotherhood workshops hoodie looks reeeaall nice! Christmas is only 4 months away anyone guess what I'm gonna ask for😂
Your hard work has inspired me to subscribe uwu
Nice
Yeh I do that all the time
Well I’m satisfied.
The one thug getting hit on the top of the head gave me inspiration for my latest stop motion
Loved it as always. Can you maybe make tutorials about using green screen in stop motion and the perfect light setup for the green screens as well. And maybe some cool after effects tutorials/ breakdowns of your comp. Layers?
Make a Lego movie of the Lord of the Rings at the end. You're a really good editor well done
I really like that you pay attention to what’s too dark for viewers. It means so much. Also, what FPS do you use?
What is that would holding up your figures and objects in flight?
I love your videos, even though I haven't gotten into LOTR yet. These tutorials are really cool and helpful for a beginner like me!
Keep at it, you're awesome!
Wire and clay

It's the real life Ben Wyatt. Only really good.

Hi there, with this fight scene the fluidity is just amazing and the camera work really sells the impacts, did you do this digitally, or move your camera on set and add the motion blur?
Most of it is done digitally
BrotherhoodWorkshop looks amazing, incredibly well choreographed for live action let alone animation
Do you write notes and also draw what you imagined or simply write down your script?
I typically write up some notes, but I don't even have a full script before I start animating, just ideas jotted down. I don't usually draw up anything unless I need to communicate to someone else.
@@BrotherhoodWorkshop Cool! Thank you for your reply!
This was really cool to see the process. What is the most important thing to do when making a stopmotion?
take pictures and move figures ;)
That definitely is the best advice for sure.
Also Take the Wizards Staff was so good. Hilarious and there was so much detail.
and i thought me and my friend worked super hard on our 1 minute stop motion
you probably did!
The real question is ... where did you get that incredible gray cape for gandalf?!?
Jyn Erso figure from the U-Wing
@@BrotherhoodWorkshop wow, I didn't expect you to answer me, that's just why I'm going to subscribe, thanks.
