My usual editing style wouldn't work for this one, so if you're looking for more of a low-key more lengthy viewing experience, this will be for you! Enjoy!
“I was expecting it to be more vague” the tell tale sign that you have played too much mascot horror that you forget that stories are actually supposed to be coherent ^^
The fact that Backseat didn't need to make a 'Don't worry' visual because the game comes with one in an ominous piece of imagery says all you need to know.
Actually I think that was also because he doesn't break the game in here mostly because he can't even break it, the only "breaking" that he has done was somehow fiddle with the cutscene
From what I can gather, Omori is, indeed, a brand of piano in the in-game universe. And it is more than likely that Mari's piano was the namesake for the shield that Sunny uses to travel the world of Headspace, and protect him from the truth.
It’s also (if you didn’t know, but I’m sure you did) a pun on hikiomori which is a Japanese term for a shut in. Which is just how Sunny responds to the events. This is taken further as never leaving the house, ignoring kel and staying indoors, leads to a different game route, called the hikiomori route.
Hey backseat, I just want to say that I appreciate the longer video! I am going to sit this one out in specific because of the heavy themes, but I would absolutely watch videos in a similar style to this if you decide to make them in the future!
I’m actually the same! I know it’s a heavy game so I hadn’t watched anyone play it yet but I figured backseat would be the one to watch if I didn’t want to come out of it feeling miserable haha And I was right, it’s a great video! Hope you enjoyed it as well.
I love watching people's first playthroughs of OMORI, and see how people handle the darker moments of the game. It's actually so interesting to me for some reason, and I can't quite explain why
On the OMORI wiki you can find the TRUTH photos with their description which makes it even more sad! The descriptions were hiden in the game files and when i read them i cried
I'm impressed by how quickly you understood the Photo Album sequence (also commonly referred to as "The Truth"). Most youtubers/streamers who play this game take a while to catch on to what's happening, some even have to ask their chat.
I love this game, but I haven't seen anybody that I regularly watch play it. I'm very happy to see you playing it and that you put in so much effort to edit it down for youtube! I also enjoy seeing which routes in the gameplay that you took compared to what I did, or what choices you made in difficult areas. I would love more long gameplays like this with a lowkey tone
A super long video like this from Backseat is a FANTASTIC way to wind down for the night. I’m definitely a fan of your usual editing style, but getting something like this from you is an absolute treat! Maybe even better than a crumble! Also, I absolutely love how nonchalant you were about all the spooky stuff. It’s hilarious to picture someone trying to make their haunted house as welcoming as they can for their guests! That got a great bunch of laughs out of me.
I love Omori very much, and I really enjoyed watching this video, it was a really good summary of the story, it was great, you played very well, I'm still surprised that you defeated all the bears
Of all the things I expected you to play, I never thought it would have been OMORI. I honestly love this game to death, and it may possibly be the best use of the game medium I have seen imo so I have massive cheers to you for this! Your, uh, more… lax approach to the themes and implications throughout the game really caught me off guard to be honest, but I must say that I admire how you play games!
Damn, I expected to see king crawler skip for sure (there’s a glitch where if you start walking forward the tile before his cutscene trigger then immediately open the tag menu, you teleport one tile forward past the trigger)
Omori is such an interesting game to be honest It goes from heartwarming and silly to existential crisis real quick but it just has so much heart and moral dilemma that it consistently keeps you guessing until the end
That was really cool! I've watched a lot of people play this game, but I just love your sense of humor, it made this playthrough so unique and entertaining and waaay less depressing. Good job! 😊
So this is what happened They broke the violin The two fought She fell down the stairs He brought her to bed He gets an idea He brings her and rope to a tree Then made it look like a hanging instead This is the most morbid game i ever seen
[SPOILERS!] In normal games, you break game, laughing about finding walking through walls secrets. In Omori, game breaks you, sobbing as the siblings play together for the last time, their final duet.
I did enjoy watching this lengthy style edit of Omori. I think you did it especially well with this game, seeing how it is a staggering 20+ hours play time. Not to mention it isn't exactly a streaming type of game from what I've seen, especially with the odds of backseating during the stream (pun intended). Regardless, you've earned yourself a subscriber!
AAAAAA i know this probably wont get as much views as the fnaf ones, but please continue more of these low key videos!! i really enjoy these sort of calmer videos from you
This video was great! Different from any other ones in the channel, but you still made jokes at the darkest of moments. You should do more long from videos.
Finally I've been waiting so long for you to edit your playthrough! I love this game to bits but its so long watching full vods is outrageous when I cpuld just replay the game myself again
Thanks for playing this game. I was very skeptical of it when I saw you playing it due to the style and the amount of gameplay, but I just finished watching and it's actually very soothing since I get upset a lot. Good job on the best ending and your humor added life to the playthrough so I didn't have to be scared of the darkest parts. Awesome to see you play :) Thanks!

The way you were able to sensitively deal with the content of this game while maintaining your whimsical editing style is no mean feat. Bravo.
