Jota is criminally underrated, even by us Liverpool fans..and it beats my imagination when I see people's predicted line ups for next season and he doesn't start..🤦 He's the best finisher in the team. His 7 goals + 2 assists in the last 4 games of last season is testament to that. Now he's come from the bench and have won us this game with 2 goals + 1 assist. He should be a starter.
Few doubt his ability, it's his reliability that hurts his chances, he's a world class player but appears to be made of glass. Remember Daniel sturridge? In form and fit he was one of the best but getting him fit and in form was always hard because he would be off for weeks and weeks with niggles
He is injury prone. Even at wolves.

I mean you realise his time with us has been affected by injuries?
Most people understand without injuries he would have cemented his first choice spot (as he did in 21-22), but the fact is he's had them and it takes time even after them to get a run of form/momentum going. You're acting like "OMG why is this happening" when the answer is pretty straight forward and as old as time as far as football goes.
He should be starting

We could have easily filled that stadium twice today. The hype around the game was insane. And it was totally worth, we all had a blast, a bit of atmosphere as well and just got ourselves even more hyped up for the new season. Can't wait!

It would be nice if KSC join them next season but I don't know if the traditional giants have improved their squads to get promoted from zweite Bundesliga.

Jota is more of a pocher imo, salah is cutting in from the wing and have to the lower xG shots. Jota is clears everyone on headers tho, his leap and controll when he heads it is very impressive.
@@bragekv9937 A poacher? Those are the strikers who sit by the goal and tap-in. Jota can do that well, but look at the two goals he got this game - brilliant finishes and definitely not poaching. He also nodded the ball down for Gakpo instead of going for goal himself.

Every German Club apart 2,3 Teams (rb leipzig, hoffenheim) is like that
We were there in the away section and Stindl scored that screamer right in front of us. Also, it was truly beautiful that basically the entire stadium was a mix of red and blue shirts, some people even wearing both red and blue, really a friendly, enjoyable atmosphere from everyone and a great game to watch.
German football fans is top class 💪 and of course Liverpool needs no introduction when it comes to support;)

To me Jota is now the 2nd best striker in Liverpool, he is just that lethal and clinical in a penalty box and he's very much reliable when is needed, he is one of ours and Liverpool has made a good signing in 2020.

All Liverpool and Karlsruher goals were amazing. Two goals for Karlsruher scored by ex German national team players. Liverpool showed character, scored twice in stoppage time. Jota is on fire 🔥. Amazing dribbling in the third goal.

Szo is absolute class. Didn't do anything crazy which is normal for first game of pre-season especially for a new team, but the way he handled the ball in tight situations, he was a class above almost every other player on the pitch based on eye-test. Especially after last season watching the ball bounce off everyone except Salah, Szo can take it in any awkward situation and produce quality from it. Game changer.
Really surprised with how good he is, and I'd put my neck out he's our best signing since 2018.
I don't like us chasing scores but preseason helps us to improve in different areas...

Needs to be more selfish
Darwin just needs to settle in. Last season he had a few bad misses where, lets be honest, he definately should have scored. He got a lot of negative comments and he was expected to solve all of liverpool's problems, such as our elderly midfield, so, when he didn't live up to the expectation, and he recieved these negative comments, he lost a lot of confidence and he didn't trust himself with the ball. You could see him in the box, not looking to see how he could score, but how to give the ball away as quickly as possible without causing any damage. Now that we have fixed the midfield, Darwin can rebuild his confidence and become a star player. I reckon he's going to absolutely take off this season and score a ton of goals. Just give him time.
You say that but the fact of the matter for a striker low on confidence he still slotted it away that's the important thing. Give the lad time and space to breathe and he'll show you what he can do.
He has no vision and made wrong decision. Its time to admit he is a flop. For a football to overcome these will take huge amount of hard work and time. He may flourish in later stage but for now he looks every bit of a flop.
This is the Liverpool I love. Can we now get a defender that can actually defend 🙏🏼
