man this channel its sooo coool! ive actually found it right after reading the book How to Archer!! if you want i can send you all the pages with all the cocktails so you can see which one are cool to make!!!
As Archer mentioned it was mostly "Kentucky Moon" could it be that the ratios were skewed a bit? as in 1 oz peach schnapps, 1 oz orange juice and 4 oz corn whisky?
@@adamwishneusky yea they don’t quite do archer right. I doubt he’s cut his drink with more than 1/5 mixer. It adds the taste. That much citric acid over does it
I was listening to my jazz today and I heard a song come on that sound very familiar, I realized it was the main song of this channel, it’s called take 5 by the Dave Brubeck quartet and it sounds so nice
I'm confused as to role of the single ice cube dropped on the ground. Do I pick it up and put it in the finished drink? Lick it and place it back on the ground? Please advise.
man I'm still waiting for the cowboy cocktail from cowboy bebop which is mostly Milk and bourbon according to the English subtitle. You can find the cocktail in episode Jupiter Jazz. OH ,right...I was forgetting also the Aqua Velva from the movie Zodiac.
As much as I love making cocktails in the "Danger Zone"....This channel combined w/ Archer references scores major points. I'm off to watch the other Archer-inspired cocktails. Thank you.
Love this channel, the approach and aesthetic closely mirror my own as a wine and spirits professional for over 20 years. Two things, however, I feel should be pointed out. First, don't make the first version of this cocktail . The despair you feel can not be erased by it's consumption and that is the true measure of any cocktail . The second version is brilliant , enough said. Second, I am also a jazz fan and while I appreciate the brilliance of Dave Brubeck I never want to hear another note from Take Five as long as I live. I realize that might be a personal foible. Still love this channel.
I actually made that milk punch recently. I'd debated on whether to buy the chartreuse or not, given how expensive it is, but everything I read said there's no real substitute. And wow are they right, that stuff is unique! And the milk punch was great, I'd wanted to make one but Alton Brown's was so convoluted looking. But even after it was finished and I didn't want to go through all those steps again, I found that a base of green tea with lime juice, chartreuse, vodka, and a sweetener (I prefer agave), is a fantastic drink on its own. The vodka is a little punchier without the milk compounds but it's not unpleasant.
It always surprising to see that Chartreuse is considered very expensive, as I live near the place of productions... But eh, a bottle of it last around 2 or 3 years, so it evens out
We used some greenish herbal liquer as a substitute. Couldn't find Chartreuse so we got the local stuff that sounded most appropriate. It smells like Jägermeister, although it doesnt taste alike at all. Not as awfully sweet as Jäger. Maybe we didn't get the OG White Russian flavor, but ours was damn nice! I recommend to try with weird liquors!
Duuuuuuuude i scrolled through your whole channel looking for how to make the PERFECT caipirinha, you need to make that!! I love caipirinha, you don't really NEED to have cachaça as this would be kinda hard to find, you can make it with vodka! We do it here in Brazil with both of them! or even rum tho... Still loved all the other videos, i really want to be a bartender when watching your channel, good work!!
I've scoured my town for that Mellow Corn stuff and apparently my state doesn't carry it. Going to travel to another state to get it because I've been wanting to try this one since this video came out.
Well, seems there is an even chance between creating that drink and mopping it up. Takes a real hotspur to perfect it. Thank you for your indefatigable effort to make good videos!
Is that whiskey barrel-aged maple syrup actually worth buying to use in cocktails? I love putting maple syrup in my old fashioneds, and I've seen this stuff for sale, but my thinking is that any complexities picked up by the whiskey barrels would just get lost in the drink, since I'm it adding to either bourbon or rye anyway. I can see it being really good on pancakes and waffles, though.
Hey! I just watched the pina colada video, and the clarified curd one intrigued me, but I had a question and didn't think I'd be likely to get a response since it's a couple months old. Is there a limit to how much you can scale the recipe outside of the filtering time?
Honestly if the first drink isn't batch made or higher proof it doesn't feel like something Archer would approve of. I don't imagine him blending a new drink every 20 minutes after he's finished the last. The second feels better by volume but not by what was made in the show.
Please do community posts as others so we know new video is up, youtube won't show your updates even when it's set to notify all. It's so broken these days!
You should make rig juice from Regular Show 1 can of RadiCola Frozen Fruit Punch Concentrate A Bottle of Hot Sauce (plus the bottle) Sugar Frosted Sugar Bombs Candy and Candy Wrappers An apple Sardines Pickles, and pickle juice An orange
What if instead of just showing you drinking the creation and making faces, since people whine about it, you could start giving your initial reaction as you’re first trying it and then give your after-thoughts in the background? Either way, love the content, one I’ll try some.
The coopers don’t smoke the barrels, they cooper the barrel & then char it by placing the barrel over flame anywhere from 20-45 seconds. By charring the virgin oak, the oaks sugars are caramelised & brought closer to the surface of the staves so when the new make enters the barrel, the ethanol draws more of those caramelised wood sugars into the finished spirit. Without charring the virgin oak, the spirits could taste extremely tannic due to absorbing fewer vanillin’s and more oak. If bourbon tastes repulsive to you, you’re probably drinking some bottom shelfers, Bourbon can vary in flavour profile as much as any Scotch, Corn Whiskey, Rye, Irish, Wheat Whiskey, Tequila, or any other oak aged spirits

Yeah 1 ounce of whiskey is pretty sad even setting aside that he said *mostly* 😛
Yeah and I think the moon part in Kentucky moon makes it pretty clear (no pun intended) that it should be unaged white whiskey

The best thing about this great video is that he uses "classy" and "twisty straw" in the same sentence.

@@RocknrollTim7 Well, Chartreuse is a mix of various herbal plants... One of the most well-known is Génépi
I would personally add the orange Ti Punch style - cut off a 'coin' of orange so you get a little juice to cloud up the drink.

I definitely wasn't thinking of corn whiskey when I thought of this drink - in fact, I was thinking the sweet corn flavored soda from Lester's Fixin's

Would love to see what sort of cocktail you could come up with using the Screwball Peanut Butter Whiskey.
That Bright Cellars promotion would pair nicely with some wine cocktails.

You should do the Pimm’s cup from season 3 episode 4 when Burt Reynolds makes an appearance!
You should make (and consume) the theoretical drink from Archer called the Rusty Krieger! 🤣
Videos are great man keep at it always enjoy and I always loved learn new things
i love the videos, keep up the good work
Now.. why don't you have 37 pieces of flair?!
Well if you wanted him to wear 37 pieces of flair why don't you just make the minimum 37 pieces of flair?
Love that movie! I quote that movie constantly! 😂
Horatio Cornblower...still laughing and I have had the drink yet! Thank you for another charmer! :-)
The Archer love keeps me coming back every time!
you should try Ironroot Whiskey, it's a corn whiskey from Texas, and they use different varieties of corn
Can you really sense the difference between expressing the orange peel over the drink, just plopping the peel in or not putting it at all?

Can you do DIY banana liqueur? I’d love to see your take!
Thank god Archer is back for season 11 now. Sadly it will be the final season, but hopefully it gives you one more crazy cocktail idea to try.
RIP Mallory Archer! 🙌
Jokes on you archer never dies. Season 13 has already come out, and I like their odds of getting a 14th.
Crazy talented.
Mellow corn could be substituted for any traditional moonshine. The spirit in the show is "kentucky moon"
Will you ever consider doing a Venture Brothers cocktail series?
