  • For decades now Austrian conductor Nikolaus Harnoncourt has been best known for using old instruments and the original notes to make his classical music performances sound as close to the original as possible. Over the last few years he has been working with piano soloist Lang Lang, and the duo recently recorded a Mozart album. Deutsche Welle filmed the production and gives you a sneak peak.

    I disagree with Lang that Harnoncourt was renowned for Mozart - he hardly did any

      Uh... really?
      How about all of the symphonies (there are even 3 different recordings of the 39th, the 40th and 41st), several serenades, all religious works, most operas -including some lesser known ones like Lucio Silla, the 5 violin concertos, the 4 horn concertos, the flute and harp concerto, the clarinet concerto and a couple of piano concertos?
      That's not "hardly any"...

      Harnoncourt was One of the best at Mozart. He conducted 39-41st symphony Really great. Not to mention A huge amount of concertos and Operas
