I believe, he meant nothing really. He also didn't really want to discriminate. It was meant as a joke, invoking some exotic language that most likely nobody in the room knew anything about. We cannot ask him anymore how he meant it. He gave the world of music so much. If some joke did not work out too well I still gladly forgive him. Thank you Niklaus Harnoncourt and may you rest in peace!

Exactly. Also when he says Bravi at 26:38, they think he said "David". Not a well done translation overall.
The subtitelist probably misherad "Dotzauer" as "todsauer"...

I think he meant that there is rhythm in language itself. And swahili? Of course it has its rhythm.
