You videoed using the one plus 7t ! video and audio were crisp and clear. power without steering and brakes is receipe for a wreck. i would fix those first, then worry about the paint.

First thing to do is get rid of those wheels. The second thing is to slap who put them on this car. Then get a set of Buick rally wheels in whatever size you need to accommodate the brakes. Then you can go from there.

TK, on these old cars, it is best to strap down the suspension, not just a wheel. The body bounce can really mess up up when you are trailering it back.

A '70 Skylark?!?!? Interesting choice. I'm a stock build/restoration guy but I have to say that it is my favorite color. It does sound like a BEAST though!!! I'll be watching to see what else you do to it for sure!!!

T.K That was my first car 1992 3 ish same blue white guts it caught fire and burned up bad enough my 17 year old self just couldn't fix it. This was pre internet and the only place to get stuff for these cars was poston enterprises out of Alabama. Now, there's facebook groups for these cars and someone is always got parts or selling something for them Wish it had the 455 but the LS you can turn them up for a third of the cost, good luck ill be watchin.
Always loved the 70s Buicks, Dodges, Pontiacs, and Chevys. Can’t wait to see this one done. I just like mine a little more stock. Not a fan of those wheels. But everyone has there own taste.

TK Go over her closely. Especially if shes going to hit the track. The brakes, suspension and steering slop are definitely concerning but Its also some of the little things, like the worn key, painted over door springs rusted master cylinder and rust behind the door cards that are a bit weird. Looks like someone did a Restomod, ran out of money and made it look good to be done with it for a quick payout. Other than that she looks good and they definitely did spend money on the powertrain. Drop in a procharger or turbo the car and rip the track up.

Front end is either poorly assembled or it was hit, usually a front hit pushes the fender out of whack like that.
Looks like somebody did the LS swap and paint and that's it, probably 200,000 miles on the suspension.

Tk looks like they never change out the steering box giving you all that slop and are you going to four wheel disc the brakes but it a shame that younger kids will never know true Detroit heavy mental muscle
If you were to keep it, I'd recommend a resto-mod version of a GSX. The visual clues of the GSX (hood, stripe, deck spoiler, grille, exhaust tips- use a color combo that pops), but better suspension, brakes. Factory rim or "Period correct" but with the 17-18" size, better buckets & rear seats, floor shift...

When he was looking for the hood release I was pointing down with two fingers up. You need both hands to open this one.
That steering is not too far off from how they were from the factory. I used to drive my dad's 1973 buick century Gran Sport. Same sloppy steering. Not designed to be track cars just performance luxury cars, though there was very little performance in 1973 in anything.

Your descript says a 1970 Buick, its not. Thats a 71 or 72 , 70s did not have the vents in the bumper, only 71 & 72s.
