Thanks for the video Tom. An important subject for many 😊
You're so right. It's a subject that many don't think about until they actually need the meds.
I went to Bangkok in August and when I arrived all my meds had disappeared. I left all my prescription papers at home. I was able to replace everything, 4 meds, within 3 days. The most difficult was baby aspirin, which a prescription is required in Thailand. Lucky for me, my friend I was visiting was able to score me enough for through my return trip from another friend.
Excellent input. I had no idea aspirin was that well-controlled Thank you for your comment.
Hey Tom, some great information 👍 thank you !
My pleasure!
Thank you very useful advice 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Great video, great channel, Tom. I just subscribed. Planning on moving out there before the US election this year. Hope to buy you some margaritas.
Welcome aboard! Thanks for the comment & looking forward to the margaritas
Super helpful. Thanks! When I eventually run out of my meds, I will look for a Fascino.
I'm glad I could help. There's other pharmacies but I think Fascino has the best prices.
Thank you very much❤
You're welcome 😊
Great info Im new to your channel Im coming to pattaya in January
Excellent, January is a great time to be in Pattaya
goooed to hear about the medical side. the viagra was not so nececerie👍👍
Thanks for your comment
Tom love the videos and informations. Are your retired military? If so do you use VA or Tricare? If so how does it work for you? Thanks for everything.
Counterpain is amazing for sore knees about 165b and they don't have it back home but on Amazon triple the price wish I bought a boxful.
I know right. It's an excellent product. Never leave home without it.
Nice tip, this old guy has bad knees. Thanks.
I must have my two inhalers (yes, expensive!) Spiriva® and the generic for Symbicort®. I'm coming over there in November, and one of the first things I'll be checking on is the availability of them.
Gotta have both of those.
Here's the website for Fascino www.fascino.co.th/
Maybe you can call ahead and double check on availability and prices prior to coming?
Did you ever find out any info on your inhalers? I also take Symbicort and Albuterol. Thanks in advance.
@@howardstern666 Nope, never did. I ended up cancelling when the war broke out; partly because of that but partly because my condition is worsening, and I don't want to bother close neighbors w.ith my coughing, when I get a "spell."
Here at my house in GA, USA, I don't bother others. 🤷
@@user-dn7oo3sb1p Well I hope you feel better soon.
If you need pain medication you can replace it with Kratom which is a legal quasi opioid that reduces pain and will help reduce withdrawal symptoms.
Great information, thanks for the advice and comments.
I have tried that didn’t work! I want to travel before I die,he didn’t give any info about if you can get it or not, it can be hard to get in some countries, stage 4 cancer
I’m sorry for your situation. I’m providing you with the link to the pharmacy I like maybe you can contact them and see if they have the available medication prior to your travel. maps.apple.com/?address=8/154%20Soi%20Pattaya%20Nuea%207,%20Amphoe%20Bang%20Lamung,%20Chonburi%2020150,%20Thailand&auid=8337018420015055605&ll=12.950007,100.894226&lsp=9902&q=Fascino&_ext=CisKBQgEENYBCgQIBRADCgQIBhB4CgQIChAACgQIUhABCgQIVRAPCgQIWRACEiYpZM8KdffjKUAxTXS/lu44WUA5XCWi5ZDoKUBBU08YnIU5WUBQBA%3D%3D&t=m

You’re right. The audio track is called guitar riddle through audio Vox, who I have a licensed through.
@Margaritas. In the USA it's hard to get scripts for controlled substances from your primary doctor. You can get them from a specialist, let's say Hydrocodone, Xanax, Temazepam. Do you have to see a specialist in Thailand to get those or can any doctor prescribe them?
I remember talking to a pharmacist about the availability the mentioned meds during this video. They said, the meds are available with prescriptions from a doctor. They didn't specify a specialist. I hope this helps.
Which pharmacies do you recommend for price, quality and convenience?
Any doctor or clinics you recommend?
I use Fascino pharmacy, I like the Loma clinic for simple cases. I use either Bangkok Hospital Pattaya or the International Hospital on soi 4.
Do you know if I can get my Albuterol inhaler there?
Yes, they are readily available. I use Ventolin sometimes myself.
How expensive are diabetes medicine like Janumet and Jardiance ?.
I will have to get back to you as I'm currently in the USA and will return to Thailand at the end of October.
@@MargaritasinParadise Ok, I appreciate it !
Have you got a good recommendation in rangsit pathum Thani
Unfortunately I've never been in that area other Don Mueng Airport. I would suggest Google to find a local pharmacy. Good Luck
@@MargaritasinParadise thank you I will try a forscino
Great choice
I have lower back pain and needs pain meds. I wonder what i can get ?
If you know what you need, I would first try a loccal Pharmacy.
what about riltaline 10 mg is for TDHA ? do I need to go to hospital to get some or pharmacy?
I just Googled this www.pulse-clinic.com/buy-ritalin-methylphenidate-adhd-and-narcolepsy-medication-bangkok-pattaya-chiang-mai-phuket-thailand
I hope this helps, I would assume the major pharmacies have it but you could call ahead to make sure. Fascino +662-1116999
I assume this is a controlled substance, so prescription will definitely be needed
Since there's a language barrier in Thailand, how are you able to communicate with a pharmacist over there? Do you have something written out that they can read? Do you use Google translate, or do you bring a Thai with you?
All pharmacies that I know of speak the English language. It's probably due to standardizing medical names. I'm not sure of this though. Great question though, thanks.
@@MargaritasinParadise Thanks, Tom. I just hear from folks who have been to Thailand that communicating in English is not easy over there.
I’ll tell you it all depends on where you’re at exactly in Thailand. All the big cities the English language is spoken widely. But there are many times I rely on Google translate as well. If you’re dealing with educated professionals such as pharmacist or doctors and nurses you can expect them all to know the English language fluently. If you’re trying to communicate with say a young bargirl or just about anybody up country than the English language is going to be limited. Still using Google translate for instance will save you lots of frustration.
can i buy otrivin nasal spray in the pharmacy ?
Absolutely I just bought it before I flew this last month.
@@MargaritasinParadise thanks for your answer, im not sure if i can bring it with me into thailand because its over the counter meds here and perhaps you need a subscription from the doctor to bring it into Thailand. But good to know i can buy it over there
I actually carry it in my little ziplock liquid pack and haven't had a problem.
Nice
Thanks
Hi can we get tramodol over the counter in Thailand 🇹🇭?
I recently stopped at Facino Pharmacy in North Pattaya and asked. They told me they stock Ultracet which has 37.5 mg Tramadol and 325 mg paracetamol
I asked if you could get regular Tramadol, I told me the 50 mg & 100 mg dose packages sell in Thailand under the brand name Tramal. They also told me they didn't stock that but you can go to a pharmacy that was licensed to carry it.
The Ultracet box was 10 caplets for 170 baht or $5 box.
I hope this helps.
@@MargaritasinParadise thanks 🙏 for the information that helps
Your welcome
May I ask what insurance you have there that covers your medications ? I’m assuming that medicare part D like the rest of medicare does not cover you there. Thank You
Fortunately for me, I'm US military retired. I use Tricare overseas select which is available to military retirees.
Jeez pic up the pace!🙂
I will try in the future, thanks for the comment and advice.
A lot of medications are so so cheap compared to the rip off uk. A prescription from gp is nearly £10 now. I can get ones I need for 20-40b (50-£1). Yes , certain vitamins are quite expensive..
Exactly, I'm loading up now for my return trip.
@@MargaritasinParadise ah ok safe trip 🙏
Great video, Tom!
Question: #1 When u go into bars and gents
Clubs, are they filled with cigarette smoke?
#2 How about weed smoke? I hate both.
Thx, Mark
Many of the places don't allow cannabis smoking inside but some do. You're not alone as I know many of my friends do not like to be around smoke either. The problem still going to exist that most smokers have little consideration for non-smokers. But some do, and even go outside to smoke cigarettes. Otherwise your left with few options other than moving tables.
California has almost completely eradicated
Indoor smoking statewide! A-holes!
Can i nor take my zzanex or pain pills with me to thialnd
I think if you have a prescription for the medication, you'll be ok. I'm sure many people take zanex in Thailand.
Here's the Thai Embassy contact information in Washington DC thaiembdc.org/contact/
You can contact them and verify if the medications you need are legal in Thailand.
What about medication for epilepsy
What medicine names are you looking for?
@@MargaritasinParadise tegrotol 100mg m8

Americans are unaliving themselves because the Feds won’t let docs treat severe pain.
Do Thai docs prescribe opioids for acute pain?
I have a friend of mine complains about not being able to get the pain medicine that he requires. Now I don't know if he's going to the doctor and gets the prescription or not for what I assume or controlled substances. I wish I could be more help for you I'm just not sure about opioids in general. I've been to the doctor before and they prescribed tramadol to me which I have a hard time taken because of stomach irritation.
Fascino Pharmacy Pattaya
Excellent choice
Antibiotics, Finesteride, and testosterone are all available over the counter.
Exactly, thanks for the comment.
Flugangst im Flying Club
I’m sorry, I don’t know the answers for this condition. I’ve been flying most of my adult life. I have never experienced a traumatic event from flying. Good luck
get to the point
You're definitely right I just watch that video again. If I had to do it again I could probably eliminate half of what I said. Thanks for the input.
I take these medications Tom. In Flower Mound, TX. Near Dallas.
1) Januvia 100 mg (Diabetes)
2) Farxiga 10 mg (Diebetes)
3) Glipizide 10 mg (Diebetes)
4) Repatha 140 mg/ml (injection for making my blood in my heart thinner... or something like that)
or
Praluent 150mg/ml (Injection )
Would I find any of these? 😆😆😆😆
I just checked at Fascino Pharmacy here in North Pattaya. They have everything but number 4. I hope this helps.
@@MargaritasinParadise Thank you very much!
For all the standard narcotic pain med patients traveling to Thailand, you will be required to obtain a permit (Form IC-2). No more than a 90 supply is allowed. You must apply and be approved for this special permit before you travel. Simple google search will get the information you need. Again this is for most narcotic pain medications. Some narcotic meds such as Fentanyl are strictly prohibited. Hope this helps
Great information. I've copied this for future reference. Thank you
So I'd have to fill out that form to bring 1 month worth of Klonopin for anxiety (narcotic)?
Are gogo's filled with cigarette smoke?
I've never seen a go-go filled with cigarette smoke. Smoking is technically illegal inside buildings in Thailand. Though most of the bars and GoGo's don't enforce that rule and let the customers do whatever they want. So occasionally somebody at a nearby table is likely to light up a cigarette.
No, just like everywhere else, you cannot smoke indoors.
Yes full
