The Puget Sound War (Washington's Woes III) : 2W1C S03E39

The Washington Territory was engulfed in war. Because of the manner the war was handled, native tribes from Walla Walla to Seattle were in open war against the United States.
Chief Leschi, the leader of the Puget Sound was rumored to be recruiting warriors to lead an attack on Seattle itself.
Territorial Governor Stevens had his own battles besides the war. His policies lead him to jail his own citizens which lead to a constitutional crisis.
Can Stevens make peace? Will the natives get what they want?

In Olympia (Nisqually middle school) it was breezed over in a couple of minutes, and most of that surrounded the controversy of whether or not Leschi should have hanged

This is absolutely incredible, I’d love to get some information about this type of stuff for here in Nevada. Apart from the atrocious pronunciation of place names, this is mostly a fair and accurate portrayal, though the trial and execution of Leschi alone could easily have been 10 times longer than the whole video, good work
