Same with the Self-Titled, imo. I'm a big R&R fan, but also adore the Self-Titled and it really seemed like they had found themselves again with that one, imo.
You could always tell these lads have been wanting to play the heavier stuff. We all know it's not Danny's thing but he seems to be in a middle ground right now. After hearing the two new songs, especially Bad Blood if they give us more of that....us old fans are going to be over the moon.
I like Sam and Cam interviews way more than Danny interviews. Dude alway had a bottle in his hands. The best though is Ben and Cam ones. Ben always be shitting on his guitar playing 😂
Lets Face it the Band Is Great But Danny is Now Holding Them Back cuz he dont want to Scream Enough And Thats What Made Them Great and if Danny Won't They Have to Bring Back Denis!!
they could've gone this direction, and they choose to do the "see what's on the inside" album. tbh it's not that the last album is bad, but this kinda song is what the fans want to hear i guess
I’ve seen this argument like 3 times on Twitter and it’s so laughable. Spiritbox and Sleep Token (if those are the examples we wanna use) write music MUCH better than the last 3 albums worth of material AA has put out. If Spiritbox or Sleep Token put out half-baked, uninspired butt rock that sounded like a somehow watered down Nickelback, I’m VERY certain people would be just as critical. Their music just has no soul anymore, whereas the bands you’re bringing up very much put effort and originality into their music… weird argument
@@Kooshmint Yup. Some people found DYWTYLM too simple, for example and vocalized that. I for my part like heavier stuff, but DYWTYLM and Aqua Regia are my favs from the album, alongside Take Me Back To Eden and Vore (and ofc the other ones).
fine. release less hardcore shit. it's honestly not that bad. but at least perform fan favorites live. they played to the stage for the first time since 2018 on their latest tour. that's insane. their metal sound was so fucking different and it sucks that we can't hear it live. stand up and scream was lyrical genius and i hope they start playing stuff from their first three albums live more
Them being all pop metal got me out of listening to metalcore beucase most bands followed them. They where one of the first bands i listened to in the genre so i always listened to them until death to destiny
@kostaslfz hopefully they're will be a couple of heavier ones mixes in there. Bad blood has some heavy music and the lyrics aren't. The band wants to go heavy again but Danny doesn't wanna scream anymore
@@kostaslfz Yup. Bad Blood is almost good, imo. Just sucks it feels like they forced the R&R heaviness in it right near the end just so people might be happy :(
I can't resect a band that obeys their fans as if they're products, even if the goal is making money and getting famous. That kind of attitude never sits well with me, so I'll always prefer AA doing what they want, even if it's a fucking jazz album someday, than giving what people want. So they're already in a great direction
Heavy??? I think they know what heavy exactly means and how it sounds and their new album just sounds like house on fire, Asking Alexandria has and used to be really deep and pure metal in the beginning but their new stuff it just skipable and forgettable and definitely doesn't bring excitement, the fact that they're using low running doesn't mean it's heavy, they're music is definitely not metal core anymore
I like Bad Blood, but don't like how the heaviness got forced in at the end. And some of the super fast drum parts seem forced as well. The vocals and all that was fine, although a bit simple.
@@oscaryanezzavala Same goes for Danny's vocals there etc. Loved that track aside from the 2 heavy fast drum parts that didn't seem to fit and the heaviness seemingly being forced in at the end.
Thank you for the interview. So good see Cameron and Sam doing an interview!
Thank you for the kind words! 🤘
We do want the metalcore back, theres no reason they cant do melodic and heavy. From death to destiny seems like a middle ground

@@Chizuru94yeah, they did. And that's why LAHOF was such a disappointment
Danny can't physically scream like he used to at the time so I guess it's impossible
bmth does it perfectly amazin now
So they are listening this whole time

4:45 I'm happy with either. Loved the Self-Titled especially and I think that was a great spot for them! Felt the most Asking to me personally :)
Had a drink with them at coyote ugly in Memphis after a show a few years back. Some of the nicest dudes out there
Nice to see Sam & Cameron in an interview. Well done!
Reckless and Relentless is hands down my favorite album ever. Love evey song on that album 🤘🤘
Thank you can't get enough AA content love those guys
Awesome interview!!! New sub 🤘🏼
Oh Cameron lol
All the fans do want old asking back and they do want heavy 😅
🤘🤘🤘🤘
Facts bro danny is more concerned about promoting his tequila than Asking at this point. Let him go. 😊
@Jakewieck lmao this is what everyone asked for when Denis was in the band so no take backs 😂 everyone wanted danny back
I'd want the Self-Titled era back, tbh, if they are more comfortable with that. I don't need another R&R, even if it would be nice.
@@Chizuru94 self titled was a great return for danny not gonna lie of it would of continued like that I would completely fine with it
Everyone else loving heavy songs .danny.

Anyone else see Ricky and Julian in the thumbnail?
There's only one problem, the vocalist.
Facts!!!!
Danny is still one of my all time favorites but hearing the interview where Ben said he blows his voice out screaming is really concerning ☹️
The thing that sucks is that I honestly think the black was their best album and Dennis is a huge problem for the band as well so 🤷♀️
😅
@@Eymbr that album sucked

Dennis sucked
get over it man, nothing's holding them back they just don't want to do Stand up and scream again 😭
i wonder if they’ve actually tried to get denis back 😅 he wouldn’t though.
what always got me was like... Nobody else there can scream? lmao
Nah. They don't need Denis because he's doing good in Drag Me Out. They need Ezekiel Pierson!!!
Danny don’t have to scream to make heavy music again. If the songs hit hard but Danny’s predominately clean vocal, then who cares…
Mate loads of heavy metal bands are/were heavy and don't scream I like both
Architect and bmth ar good exemples...
@sevenfoldconfession architects lost their heavy music songwriter,- Tom Searle wrote all the heaviest stuff they did. Large reason for the shift
@@MartiniScreamz I mean, yeah, that's what he said/agreed with.
About as heavy as a bag of feathers
golden comment

Let say "Dark Void" was created by Sleep T*ken or Spiritb*x... would people still say the same to those bands?

oh yeah when ? where? cus i havent heard anything remotely heavy😂
Pretty crazy. Sounds like all but 1 want to bring the heavy back. Danny is the only one stopping jt

I want danny for cleans and sings and dennis back for screams. Think itd be a great mix. Not that they could get past differences or whatever
Yeah ight we will see how radio friendly heavy it is. These band's need to stop lying to fans.

2009 > DAD ROCK vibes. Quit the dad rock shit and downtune to double drop A and give us some 9 string guitar juicy breakdowns!
meh... I'm not convinced yet by the new songs

The new songs suck. See What's On The Inside was a fantastic album. New stuff sounds way too "digital" lacks any soul
The last two albums were not my cup of tea, so I hope this ones decent
lol there new stuff isn't heavy
wasn't this band banned from the world? for the sake of humanity
Lads we all know you’d go heavy if not for Danny. Otherwise The Black wouldn’t exist.
no they didnt
naaaahhh, the singles released today are pure trash! I thought Dark Void was trash at first, but it sounds better than the last 2 (bad blood, psycho)
Bad blood is a thousand hundred times better than psycho and dark blood, not only in screams, the sounds guitar is amazing
