Great review as always man. Completely agree with everything you said. The changes you're gonna make to them will make them much better. They've been great for me cause they have room in the shell & liner for my stupid orthopedic insoles. I tried to roll them with the stock insole the other day and they felt way too big. My feet were moving around heaps. Look forward to seeing you shred them 🔥🔥
Thanks dude! The thicker insoles are going to take away some soul feel but the fit is much more important in my opinion. I think they will be a dope skate once my tweaking is done.
Long hockey laces negate 2 sets of laces, I lace all my skates through the shell and then through the liners with the same set of laces. Really works for me 👍
I love that they have individual shell sizing. I took off the 45° straps because they felt useless, using heel-lock lacing feels more effective and lets you put them on faster. Looks uglier though.
I feel almost exactly the same as you do.... I was ready to skate these boots (and later releases of them) for the rest of my life basically but I can’t get used to the weight. I feel like I’m wearing ankle weights while I skate. I do enjoy a completely flat boot with a shock absorber but that’s a big part of why they’re so heavy. I tried to combine them with freestyle frames just to have a lighter set up but that didn’t really work for me either cause freestyle sucks so bad. I’m getting another pair of skates. Luckily my wife wants the blanks for herself so it’s not a total loss 😅
Nice review! Agree with all the pros and cons you brought up. They're definitely a very squeaky skate too. Probably the loudest and heaviest skate I've owned. My foot is pretty identical to the shell size and I still had a bit of liner lift issue and big toe stub on the shell. I took out the Rollerblade insole and put in my Superfeet Greens for more arch support and heel lift and they feel more similar to my Seba CJ angle now. There is less space in the shell overall now in the midfoot and my foot is angled better in the skate so the pressure on the toe is a bit less. I also took the insole out of the liner and under it instead and it feels so much better. Just that slight bit of depth changed where the ankle pushes on the liner too. I think the liner has a better time gripping the insole vs the bottom of the boot as well with the insole not inside of it. Have fun with them! Some very minor inconveniences that can be solved with a little effort and products. On the bright side, I can feel my legs getting stronger lol
Great review, agree on most you say, but I think some cons you mentioned are things that can be changed easily. I swapped the liner and use a UFR intuition and don't use laces on the liner (and funnily enough use the Blank liner in the UFRs...) as they fill up more of the shell and make it more responsive. Also, you can easily add a little more heel raise by adding an intuition wedge or another shock absorber or 3/4 insole, etc. (which is the great thing with flat boots - can't get less heel raise in a raised heel boot). I am a medium to wide foot, so I totally get though that you might have more problems making the fit perfectly. Great to see a new video by you and see you skating aggressive again! Interested to hear your opinion after some tweaks.
Great review! I'd like to see you have the skates in hand or on a raised table next to you in the review section so you can show them around a bit! Someday I'll try aggressive boots... when I get over my fear of breaking something at the skatepark.
@@ThirtyandRollin Thanks! I'm torn between the RB blank and the Gawds 2 Team. Haven't had the chance to try them yet, but I'm aiming for the one with the lower overall ride height. Any advice on this?
I agree about flat boots. They suck. I ride really good with twister edges but when I use my rec skate that's flat I fall backwards all the time and bust my ass
Should I get the roces m12 used for 1/3 of the price of these ? Or get this blank sj one? They look like beasts, I’m confused could any1 help me ? Thanks
@Thirty+Rollin glad you found that funny😄. great vid man, I did NOT know these didn't have a raised heel. Totally turned me off from the skate. Gonna go see if you've reviewed the UFR Street AP😎👍🏼
@@ThirtyandRollin it may have taken up some of the room you mentioned in the end of the vid. Just a thought! I really like mine but I wish I had downsized
@@ThirtyandRollin yes. I saw some pictures on reddit of this skate and even when I See the wheels on your thunbnails. It looks like it had squares instead of wheels.

Haha that's awesome! Ya I like them but we will see once I do a few mods/tweaks to them for my personal tastes.

Haha that is a valid fear. Thanks for the feedback too.
I'm Not much of an aggressive skate fanboy. Hopefully you get to review some twister XT soon! They look pretty dope.
Those Blank liners look great, wish I could get my hands on a pair but I can’t find them by itself.
Now it made me think of getting a pair.
I like mine! Don’t notice the weight, it ll make me stronger. Wondering about a diff cuff maybe something softer.,,
Thanks for the great review! I was wondering if the Rollerblade Blank comes with a raised or flat heel (like the USD Aeon)?
It's a flat heel shell but has a rubber heel wedge/shock absorber.

Where van i get this shoulder arm strap you use, i have the exact same problem with my left shoulder

M12s are good but if you don't have a standard to narrow foot go with the Blanks.

Can you make a video about the best liners on the market that AREN'T intuition? Can't justify spending $250 for a liner...
Check out the replacement CJ Liner from Seba (I found some on Thuro). It’s basically an Intuition copy for $90.
@@JustAnotherBlader cool I'll check it out but I'm ok with my twister edge liners. They're fine
These wheels are really confusing. Im always thinking that these arent round
Haha is that because of the square graphic on them?
